My yoga practice has become really slow and quiet. I’m sitting cross-legged, I do simple stretches, I flow slowly. On the other side though, the Instagram yoga world seems to be upside down, busy doing advanced inversions and bizar snake-like positions. ⠀
â €
It makes me wonder if that’s the thing we should encourage as teachers. Yes, yoga is asana, and that sometimes includes advanced asana, but yoga is SO much more and I wish the world would know. ⠀
â €
Your sadhana doesn’t have to look like mine, not at all, and I know we all have a path to walk, but let us, as teachers, at least give our students access to a safe practice.⠀
â €
I see teachers film their students in Savasana (which is such a vulnerable and hard pose) without them knowing. I see people practicing headstands with only a YouTube yoga education. There’s beer yoga, gin & tonic yoga, naked yoga. ⠀
â €
Can we please go back a little? Back to a safe and healthy asana practice, that we combine with meditation, with being present, with going through life with integrity. Please? â €

How to Survive Hyperemesis Gravidarum Dear beautiful, pregnant woman, You probably stumbled across this article because you have it: constant nausea, throwing up, feeling miserable. All day, every day. That what the doctors call Hyperemesis Gravidarum or the worst type of morning (all day) sickness. I got it when I was in week
