Hey, is that me down there?



Yeah, it definitely is! 👌

Some days are simply better than others. This was such a day! 🤩

The summer had returned and the sun sent the temperature well into the 20s (celcius) and a steady breeze came in from the water.

Equipped with my essential KAP gear I headed for Saltholmen (Råde) to fly kites and shoot some kite aerial footage. ...and I did!

Here are a few shots from not so high up there but surely fascinating nevertheless. Sometimes, well, quite often actually, the rocky landscape reveals its secret details when you shoot your footage from just 5, 6, 7 meters up!

I just discovered that I can connect BOTH my gimbal and my GoPro camera to my mobile phone and view both apps on the same screen!

This means I can remotely adjust the gimbal's three axis while simultaneously see what the camera is capturing and remotely control the camera as well!

Now is THAT COOL or what?!!! 👌😎🤙

Once again out KAP'ing. The sun was hidden behind the clouds creating another variation of light conditions compared to a sunny day, however interesting.

So was the wind!

A rather strong and somewhat gusty sea breeze came in from the water making flying conditions a tad unpredictable. I tried to stabilise the kite by adding a tail, but it didn't improve the stability that much.

The camera was bouncing up and down up there, while the picavet, gimbal and stabilization software had a hard time up there.

But you know, there are always screenshots! 👌

Having recently caught the Kite Aerial Photography bug all over again, I spent the previous evening meticulously packing my backpack with every piece of gear required for the expedition.

..and there was certainly no shortage of wind — the air was heavy with power, meaning kite flying of some sort was guaranteed.

But where...?
