What terrible news we got today....

For over 20 years we have been competitors on the racetrack, but we have been friends off the track. It was a terrible message we received today. You are no longer among us, but race on in heaven. Your warm and sometimes dry humor and sometimes poor explanations of why things happened as they did will always be with us. You will absolutely be missed, Rikard. So it’s about we update you all on what happened in the final.
Sverre lost control of his right hand due to a bump in the left lane, just after the finish line. The air caught under him and he flew of the bikes left side, sending him into a tumble and sliding down the shutdown area.
The bike continued down track before getting caught in the sand trap.

Sverre was alert and stable after the tumble. He was later sent to the hospital for a check up.
One sore shoulder with maybe some torn ligaments/ fracture, burn rashes and a sore/beaten body.

We are very lucky that this went as well as it did and we will make sure that Sverre receives the care he needs once we get back home.
