STERILIZATION 2 - Foxy got sterilized today and seemingly not without some drama.
The positive part first - she is fine and back home, but she apparently needed some help during surgery to stay alive (injection of adrenaline & some reanimation).
In addition, her ovaries were full of cysts - so it was definitely the right decision to sterilize her pluss it was not too early either.
Now we are hoping for a speedy recovery with 2 weeks indoor spa treatment, some pain killers and a lot of cuddles.

VACCINATIONS DONE ✅ - ready for the training season to start and one more step for the B's into adulthood.
All 17 got their yearly vaccines yesterday / today and we are ready to start the training season in a few days time - which is the first full training season for Briggs and Bijou. Very excited to see how they handle it.
For others it will probably be one of the last full seasons - as the pack is getting older - and some will or are retired for good (with exceptions for some easy skijoring or even very short runs in the B-/C-team).
No plans for races for this season yet since the B's are not able to join before the mid or end of the racing season but we will try to do the most out of it training wise.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY B'S - 1 YEAR OLD TODAY 🥰🥳
Born in the early morning on July 20th, 2025 with 390 & 480 grams and it was a perfect birth. I still get tears of joy and happiness when thinking back to that point.
Despite some difficulties along the way both B's developed into happy and healthy young dogs. Extremely playful and social with a good appetite and a lot of energy.
Ana was very protective from the start but did a great job providing the best care for both of them throughout their puppy hood.
Still very thankful for the opportunity to have bred with Ace (Snooperz Velux; ) and looking forward to the upcoming season when the B's are in full training. Exciting times ahead.
Love you to the moon (and beyond) and back ❤️🐾

COUNTING MONTHS - in the beginning of a dog's life, no matter if it is from your own litter or after getting a puppy from another kennel/breeder, people tend to celebrate each month until they are at least 1 year old and before they enter adulthood and age becomes a normal thing.
But what when dogs are getting older? Do you start celebrating each month when they get 10, 12 or 13? You never know when it's time to let go and it's very breed specific as well as health dependent.
Vision is 13 years and 9 months today and it might be time to celebrate each month she is still with me. She is fine for now but at this age you never know what happens. I am actually celebrating every day I wake up and she is still breathing but every 13th of each month is a bit more special - closing in on her 14th birthday in September.
Trying to keep her active with small walks but she also sleeps a lot and has her small issues with her hind legs / muscles etc. Physio checks from time to time are essential to know in what state she is body wise.
Hoping she will stay with us for some more time 🙏🏼❤️
This applies of course to all dogs in the pack as well, especially the older ones.

NSHK SPECIALITY SHOW 2026 - and we got a new color combination in the collection 🤗🐾
We participated in our yearly speciality dog show of the Norsk Siberian Husky Klubb today and the result was not too bad to say the least:
Briggs - EXC.JK 2JKK CK
Bijou - EXC.JK 1JKK CK (BIM Junior)
Briggs became the second best junior male while Bijou became best junior female and best of opposite s*x in junior class. Bijou got a bit tired in the end and missed out on becoming best junior because of that.
Very proud of every good result I got with those dogs in the kennel that I have shown so far but it makes me a bit extra proud to achieve such results with the ones I bred myself.
Exciting future with those 2 and really looking forward to how they will do next time we participate in the dog show when they have matured and are competing in the adult classes - maybe already next year.
Maybe there is a chance to join the breeders class as well. Time will show.

SHOW TRAINING - the B's participated in the dog show training organized by the local organization of in Hamar today.
Very satisfied with Briggs who is calm and was running very easily - easy to be triggered by food. Bijou was more interested in smelling the grass and greeting the other dogs - might still be due to her heat which ended during the weekend. Time will show.
2.5 weeks until the speciality show where they will participate in the junior class. More training ahead - both at home and once more in Hamar.

MERRY XMAS 2025 from Kennel Siberian Trollfaces 🎄
Not easy to get all 17 dogs in one picture but with several pictures we managed 😄
Another year has past - the first one without our pack leader (Siba 🌈) but two new angels have arrived in the form of the B-litter ❤️🐾
A strange one at first where the pack didn't seam to settle and ends strange with the lack of snow and the worst training conditions since we moved here as well. The B's on the other hand are thriving - growing and playing with each other and the adults without any concerns.
The pack is getting older and a new retirement is getting very close (T-Rex 🦖) as well as a degrading to the B-team at the end of the season (Foxy 🦊). Rubens future in the A-team is also uncertain since he was diagnosed with arthritis in one of his toes in one of his hind paws and is evaluated closely during physiotherapy.
Let's wait and see what 2026 holds for us - it can only get better.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to all near and far, known and unknown followers 🎁 🎉

HARNESS WALK - the B's got their first walk in a proper sleddog harness today at 17 weeks old.
The first 500m they were playing and figuring things out but then they focused more and more ahead. Just a little sunday walk of about 2.5km with a small treat break in between.
Conclusion: my arm probably elongated by some millimeters - the future looks promising for those two with respect to becoming good sleddogs.
Video in the comments.
