The General’s last words, contained in the book Taekwon-Do and I, are: I come to have endless emotions, looking back over day I focused all of my energy and effort into distributing Taekwon-Do, going all over the earth from North to South and from West to East through the last decade. Those were marches into hardship. Yet, facing each moment of frustration. I rose from the ashes like a phoenix and passed through the time of trouble. How could we compare to the joy of achievements as its fruit! Does the world of Taekwon-Do have to stay divided, even if we have to accept the fact of divided Korea? Two Taekwon-Do bodies in Korea means two worlds of the Taekwon-Do population on earth. It is surely a tragedy in the field of martial arts. to make things worse, the students whom I had thought of with affection left me with all kinds of excuses. Whoo could possibly understand how I felt! A parent thinks of his or her child who is gone in the morning again in afternoon. Just like that, wherever and whatever they do, I ALWAYS SINCERELY WISH THEM TO BE THE RIGHTEOUS MASTERS OF TAEKWON-DO. The only truth is reality? 🔵 BLUE Brothers, we want to tell you that General Choi Hong Hi devoted his life to promoting Taekwon-Do globally, without restricting copyrights to logos or encyclopedia, so that the art could reach everyone. HIS WILL, passed on by his son Jung Hwa Choi and other ITF federations formed after the death of the founder of Taekwon-Do, allowed ALL ITF students to freely use the symbols. Perhaps you don’t know this, Blue Brothers, because you never had the opportunity to meet the General or attend seminars with him. Perhaps this is why you are unfamiliar with the philosophy of the Founder of Taekwon-Do. Perhaps this is why you are acting against the will of the General and his family. You will not destroy us by taking away our fist in blue circle.
