Day 5:
The final day of the European Gasshuku.
This day consisted of four intensive and inspiring training blocks. The warm-up was led with great energy by Sensei Ernie, who immediately brought everyone into the right focus. The final block was traditionally concluded with a physical challenge under the guidance of Nakamura Sensei, a moment in which perseverance and precision were central.
After this physically demanding program, the official closing ceremony took place. Warm and sincere words of thanks were expressed to the instructors, the Executive Committee, the chief instructors of the various countries, the organization, and of course all participants who made this Gasshuku a success.
In the evening, the sayonara party took place with over 300 attendees. In a relaxed and festive atmosphere, everyone enjoyed an extensive and delicious dinner buffet. The evening was opened with Eisa, a traditional Okinawan folk dance, beautifully performed by the delegation from Sweden, which immediately created a special and unifying start to the celebration.
Afterwards, the results of the grading were announced by Nakamura Sensei. Congratulations to all those who passed on this wonderful achievement!
The evening was further enhanced by an excellent live band: De Formatie. Their energetic performance got the audience moving, and that energy was enthusiastically returned by the crowd. It became an evening full of joy, connection, and unforgettable moments.
A huge thank you to everyone for making this special and successful edition of the European Gasshuku possible.
Next year, the event will take place in Nantes, France.
Make sure you are there!

Fabulous 😀🥋
Great way to finish the European Gasshuku—training together, sweating together, and sharing the spirit of traditional Goju-Ryu karate. Thank you to everyone for your hard work, positive energy, and friendship throughout the week. Until we meet again, keep training hard! 👊🥋
