WHV Centauri

Our Story

WHV Centauri is the only handball association in Wageningen, for students by students. We have both a ladies and a gents team which train two times a week on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in the Bongerd.

Tournaments:
Besides our training we also compete in various (student) handball tournaments. One of those is the GNSK. The GNSK is a big two day tournament in which different universities compete for the title of Dutch student champion in various sports. We try to arrange an international tournament every year, to give you an idea: 2010 Plzen (Czech Republic), 2011 Berlin, 2012 Rovereto (Italy), 2013 Berlin, 2014 Hamburg, 2015 Berlin, 2016 Hamburg, and 2017 Belgium. Next to the GNSK and an international tournament we compete in several other tournaments during the year.

Activities:
Of course Centauri is not only about playing sports, it is also important to do other things. That’s why we organize several activities during the year, for example a barbecue. We also have a Centauri weekend every year. Also the tournaments which we visit usually include a big party, so there is enough to keep you entertained!
