Your jumps are only as explosive as the work you put in behind the scenes!

Here are 4 of my favourites to build power:
• Triple pogo → Bulgarian box jump
• Lateral box → skater jump
• Seated vertical jump
• Box step-up → knee drive jump (DB)

Remember: Prioritize quality, give 100% effort on every rep, and take your rest between sets. You can’t be explosive if you’re fatigued!

Short on time? This full-body circuit is a great way to get some work done in only 10-15min.
Complete 2–3 rounds:

◼️KB Swing ×20
◼️KB Thruster (single arm) ×10/side
◼️KB Hang Squat Clean (single arm) ×10/side
◼️KB Row & Kick Through ×10/side
◼️KB Burpee ×12

Do this for strength, power, coordination, and stamina.

Training outside of the dance studio is still new territory in our dance culture. It’s still being discovered and we’re still collectively figuring out the why, the what, and the how much.
I watch dancers discover strength training every day and the moment they feel that shift..the way strength translates into their dancing....everything changes.

The biggest balance mistake I see dancers make?
They think balance is something you „practice“ only by trying to hold positions or using unstable surfaces.
Don’t get me wrong — those drills are useful, and I include them in my clients‘ training too. But they’re only one piece of the puzzle.
Real balance comes from:
✔ Hip strength (single-leg work like RDLs & airplanes)
✔ Core control (rotation + anti-rotation)
✔ Ankle strength (calf & foot stability)
If those pieces are missing, balance drills will only take you so far. You have to train the system.
