In the Dutch mountains, scooters have to survive more than smooth city streets. Steep climbs, wet weather, rough roads, and daily abuse quickly reveal the difference between real quality and cheap production parts.

As an e-scooter manufacturer and repair specialist, we work on our own machines every day — but we also repair scooters from many other brands. And honestly, every time we open them up, we are amazed by the poor quality components that are often hidden inside. Weak throttles, cheap plastics, low-grade connectors, and parts that simply are not built to last.

That is not how we believe scooters should be built.

For us, performance and reliability come first. That is why we are happy to bring some real X Cross DNA into this scooter upgrade. We replaced the original throttle with a high-quality gas throttle that delivers smoother control, better response, and a much more solid feeling during every ride.

⚡️ WHAT A DAY IN THE DUTCH MOUNTAINS → STRAIGHT INTO FLANDERS ⚡️🚴‍♂️

Today was one of those unreal days that reminds you why innovation + passion = magic.

From testing in the rough terrain of the Dutch “mountains” this morning (yeah, we make our own mountains if we have to 🇳🇱😏) to seeing that same energy hit the cobbles of Dwars door Vlaanderen 2026 this afternoon… pure adrenaline.

Our crew at X-Cross – a Dutch e-scooter manufacturer built for extreme terrain – took inspiration from the toughest conditions. Mud, gravel, climbs, unpredictable weather… the same elements that define the Flemish classics.

And today’s race? It delivered exactly that.

Dwars door Vlaanderen, the legendary WorldTour classic from Roeselare to Waregem (±185 km), once again proved why it’s more than just a warm-up for the Ronde. ()

What a weekend to remember! 🇳🇱⚡🇧🇪

This past weekend, we had the absolute honor of lining up at the first Flanders classic race of the season, and what makes it even more special… we did it as a Dutch e-scooter manufacturer taking on the legendary roads of Flanders. Yes — a Dutch brand in the heart of Belgian cycling country. And what a ride it was.

From the moment we crossed the border from the “Dutch mountains” (okay, we admit — the highest peaks of the Netherlands might not scare the Alps 😄) into the cobbled chaos of Flanders, we knew this would be something special. The energy, the history, the passion for racing here is just different.

To compete in a race inspired by icons like the Ronde van Vlaanderen and shaped by legendary climbs such as the Koppenberg and Oude Kwaremont — it’s something you feel in your legs and in your heart. These roads have written cycling history for over a century, and this weekend, we added a small electric chapter of our own.
