From student to innovator in the maritime energy transition ⚡

Meet Petar Vuckovic, a Power Electronics student at the University of Twente who is helping Alewijnse develop innovative technology for the maritime sector.
Through his master's research, Petar is working on a unique Hardware-in-the-Loop solution that makes it possible to test energy management systems faster, safer, and more efficiently. His work contributes directly to reducing energy consumption and technical risks onboard vessels.

From Montenegro to the Netherlands, Petar's journey shows how passion for technology and sustainability can lead to exciting opportunities.

Throwback Thursday. Today we are spotlighting the Offshore Patrol Vessels PNS YAMAMA and PNS HUNAIN. In close collaboration with Damen and Nevesbu, Alewijnse completed the full electrical system integration for these advanced naval vessels.

Built at Damen Shipyards Galati, this project stood out for its strong partnership and the successful integration of the specific requirements of the Pakistan Navy. We also designed and installed a complex machinery control system, fully compliant with AUT-CCS notation.

You ensure the team has the right capacity and competencies for both ongoing and future projects. Because your team is spread across multiple locations nationwide, you regularly visit these sites to maintain close connections and support the team 👥

Together with other team leaders and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you help develop and implement the annual operational plans.
