Try slacklining during the Flashtest!

One line, careful balance, steady breathing and staying relaxed. That’s slacklining!

During the Flashtest on 5 September, the Dutch slackline association SlackNED will be joining us at the NCC with a variety of slacklines for you to try. Think you can stay on them all? Come test your balance and find out!

The SlackNED crew will be there throughout the day to share tips & tricks and help you take your first steps on the line. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, everyone is welcome to give it a go.

Want to learn more? Join one of the “How to rig your slackline?” workshops. You’ll learn about different ways to set up a slackline, how tension, length and height affect the experience, and how to rig safely while taking good care of the trees. 🌳

Our favorite annual competition is back!
This time with a new format: Flashtest will take place on a single competition day at each location.
Climbers will compete in three categories for the win and other great prizes. Featuring 14 competition routes and 20 competition boulders to climb!

📢 NCC Grand Opening moved to 14 November

Unfortunately, we have to reschedule the Grand Opening of the National Climbing Center. It will not take place on Saturday 5 September, but on Saturday 14 November 2026.

The outdoor climbing walls, impact-absorbing flooring and several other facilities are not yet ready. Meanwhile, work continues every day to complete the remaining facilities. We want to organise the Grand Opening at a time and in a way that truly reflect the ambitions of the NCC.

There is also good news: the autobelays are being installed this week and are expected to be ready for use soon! 🙌

🏆 Grand Opening & Flashtest Final – 14 November

On 14 November, we will combine the Grand Opening with the national Flashtest final. We are also inviting national and international athletes to take part in this special final.

⚡ Extra Flashtest on 5 September
As many climbers were already looking forward to 5 September, we have decided to organise an additional Flashtest competition at the NCC that day. This means we can still make it a great event, with lots of brand-new routes and boulders, DJs, food trucks and an exclusive Flashtest T-shirt for every participant.
