Mikkeller Running Club Groningen

Because of COVID-19 there will be no runs until further notice. Our health and the health of others are top priority. This means no socializing as well. Bars and pubs are closed, but one of them is open! The virtual Mikkeller bar. So if your are sitting at home, drinking a nice cold beer and are in need of some company, why not join others who are doing the same. There is even a Mikkeller Running Club bar! See you there?

Op 13 juni 2020 reizen we af naar Zwolle om met een aantal leden van Mikkeller Running Club Groningen mee te doen aan de Zwolse Halve Marathon. Samen met Mikkeller Running Club Zwolle gaat dit geheid een leuk hardloopfeestje worden. Doe je ook mee? Schrijf je snel in, want het gaat hard!

Last year a couple of members of Mikkeller Running Club Groningen ran the KLM Urban Trail Groningen. This year we will do it again! Wanna join? Sign up and run with us in wave number 2!

2020 is only two weeks old but plans are already being made for the remainder of the year. So what are we going to do?

Our next run in February will start and end at Barracuda Social Club! Seafood, lots of small snacks and a fridge filled with craft beer! 🍻

In May we will be visiting BPBW - Budapest Beer Week. We will do a run with Mikkeller Running Club Chapter 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Budapest 🇭🇺 for some good old . After the run we will try as many new delicious craft beers at the BPBW 2020 | Budapest Beer Week /// Tasting Sessions!

But hey, we are from Groningen, so hopefully we can arrange a run from local brewery Baxbier.

Last but not least, we will have two challenges for our members. One involving our stickers and the other one involving a segment on Strava. Stay tuned!

Dutch weather gave Dry January the finger by giving us a proper dose of rain but these girls and guys weren't impressed! Respect! TBT exactly 3 months ago when captain Mark Vos ran his first ever marathon in Berlin! In 2020 Mikkeller Running Club Groningen members Tycho and Willem Holthuis will hopefully run their first marathon in Rotterdam. Member Luciano Pappalettera is considering running it.
