We'll be giving some demo's of how to wear armor and talk about the materials for the product of armor, names of armor pieces, showing several types of armor, the use of weapons and what was approperiate to use in combination with the armor and how it was generally used.

Armours, weaponry and crafts. Step into the encampment of De Huurlingen van de Lage Landen and discover what life was really like for a travelling soldier. This Dutch reenactment group brings the world of late 15th-century mercenaries back to life with a sharp eye for authenticity.
Wander between the tents to watch demonstrations of how the equipment was built and how it was used. And don't miss the painting studio, where icons and marginalia are recreated by hand.

Harnassen, wapentuig en ambachten. Stap het kamp van De Huurlingen van de Lage Landen binnen en ontdek hoe het leven van een rondreizende soldaat er werkelijk uitzag. Deze Nederlandse reenactmentgroep brengt de wereld van de laat-15e-eeuwse huurlingen weer tot leven, met een scherp oog voor authenticiteit.
Loop tussen de tenten door en bekijk demonstraties van hoe de uitrusting werd gemaakt en gebruikt. En mis vooral het schildersatelier niet, waar iconen en marginalia met de hand worden nagemaakt.

Our first event of the 2026 season: !
Lots of rain and very cold nights but daytime sure makes up for it. The event is wonderful and it’s great to see everybody once again.
