It is with great pride that we officially announce:

🏆 IFK WESTERN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2027 🏆

On Saturday, May 22nd, 2027, Dojo Hokori Meiyo (DHM) and the NKA will join forces to welcome karateka from across Europe to Zoetermeer, The Netherlands!

🥋 2 tatamis – one major international championship

Following the fantastic international tournament we had the privilege of hosting in 2026, we have now been given the great honour of hosting the official IFK Western European Championships 2027!

For this edition, DHM and the NKA are joining forces with a shared ambition: to build on the strong foundation of previous WEC editions and take the Western European Championships another step forward.

Together, we want to continue developing the WEC into an even stronger, more professional and spectacular international championship while respecting the history, spirit and achievements of the editions that came before us.

And this time, we are going even bigger.

The championship will take place at Sporthal Oosterpoort, the largest sports hall in Zoetermeer, with competition taking place across two tatamis as fighters battle for the prestigious Western European titles.

Karateka from different countries will come together for a full day of high-level Kyokushin Kumite, where fighting spirit, technique, respect, determination and international friendship will meet on the tatami.

Together, DHM and the NKA are determined to create a professional and spectacular championship — an event worthy of the fighters stepping onto the tatami and worthy of the IFK Western European Championships.
