Today we are back in Oerlinghausen to provide Segelflugverein Oerlinghausen e.V., Segelflugverein Bielefeld, FSV Rheda and Herforder VFL with an intercooler set which will give them more power on their Van Gelder winch. In a few weeks we will return to adjust the fuel pump and then they will be ready to winch the gliders with more power.

Are you looking for more power on your Van Gelder Winch? It is possible to adapt the engine of your DAF!

The set we have developed is a set you can simply assemble yourself. After assembly, only the adjustment of the fuel pump is required. This is something we can do for you if not known. With the set, you will receive a used intercooler that has been modified by us with all the necessary tubes and other supplies. You only have to mount it in the winch.

The cost for the ready-made set that you can assemble yourself is € 1.500, - excluding transport cost or necessary adjustment of your fuel pump.

|Several Van Gelder winches for sale|

Currently we have several Van Gelder 6 drum winches for sale. We have some technically excellent winches that have aged well cosmetically. We also offering some more budget-friendly winches, which are technically sound but could use some attention cosmetically.

Van Gelder winches are known for their pleasant and easy operation. Training new wich operators is made very easy with these van Gelder winches. Due to the dual control setup, everything is easily accessible by both the trainee as well as the instructor. All six drums can be equiped with both steel and Dyneema cable (1500 meters).

Some technical specifications:
- DAF 6-cylinder 8,25 litre turbo diesel engine
- 260 hp (but with great torque to boot!)
- Air-powered controls and guillotines
- Heated cabin - Trailer chassis (80 km/h)
- Weight: 8.700 kilograms without cables

The winches can be seen in Breda by appointment, and if the Covid restrictions allow it, tested on Gilze Rijen airbase.

|A lovely look back at 2021|

Despite the various Covid-19 measures, many clubs continued to fly in a modified way. To help them with this, we have maintained their winches at several clubs to make them ready for the season. Besides the maintenance of all kinds of winches, we have sold various winches to multiple clubs worldwide.

We are still very grateful that we could continue to work in these times so everybody could continue to glide because what is more fun than flying.
