Today…

I paint a picture of tomorrow,
With gentleness, within my mind,
Tinting it with every feeling,
Every emotion humankind can find.

I choose to feel every heart,
And every longing it contains,
Welcoming every subtle nuance,
The joy, as well as the pain.

I remember to use every color,
The pastels, the tints, the shades,
For they remind me of the wholeness
The Great Mystery breathes into all.

Then I sculpt the shapes of destiny,
The patterns, great and small,
Weaving darkness and light together,
Unfolding gently within the All.

And I ask myself:
What makes tomorrow different
From all the yesterdays before?

Perhaps it is this final ingredient…

I reclaim my will,
While surrendering to what wishes to emerge.

And in that union,
Tomorrow becomes something new.

An unbound freedom of expression.
Illumination.
The victory of my heart.
