I’m excited to announce the release of my newest online course: Flowbility 101.

Over the last few years I’ve received countless questions from people who wanted to improve their mobility, coordination, and body control—but they didn’t always have maces or clubs around.

BOOM 💥 FridayFlow

This weeks FridayFlow is for Indian or light clubs. It is a beginner Indian clubs workout and the flow is called the Posture Flow

This flow is aimed to fix or improve bad posture. Indian club swinging is great for posture in general, but in this flow I’ve emphasized the parts that are specifically good for an upright posture. We’re holding two positions for an extra beat and in that beat we take an extra deep breath, focusing on extending the rib cage all around.

1. Start in the in the U-shape with both clubs in saber grip straight above the head.
2. Swing to the right and keep the right hand in the back corridor and the left hand in the front corridor.
3. Curl the right arm behind the body and positioning the club on a hammer position as you reach behind the shoulders with the left hand pointing the club straight down.
4. Take an extra breath here expanding the ribcage for that alignment.
5. Allow the clubs to swing back from where they came and end up in U-Shape again.
6. Take a deep inhalation here and focus again on extending from the ribcage el lengthening from the spine.
7. Now repeat and reverse on the other side 💪🏼

BOOM 💥 FridayFlow

This weeks FridayFlow is for Indian or light clubs. It is an intermediate Indian clubs workout and the flow is called the Asynchronous Whirlwind Defender.

This flow is an advanced version of the beginner whirlwind defender flow. Now we’ll practice the asynchronous version, which means we’re decoupling the left from the right without breaking the pattern of the flow. Pretty complex!

1. Start in the Defender position and open your right elbow to find the starting position.
2. Extend the right arm to the T position, and open the left elbow.
3. Drop the right arm into a front pendulum as you extend the left arm to the T position.
4. Allow the right to pendulate as the left arm drops into the front pendulum.
5. The right comes back to the T and pulls back to that 90 degree position. The left pendulates.
6. Draw the right elbow back in front of the body to the defender and swing the left up to the T and back to the open defender position.
7. Rotate the defenders to the starting position and try again!

The new Dutch Flow Heavy Clubs are here 💥

I’m excited to announce two new products in the Dutch Flow Academy line-up: The Dutch Flow Heavy Club and the Dutch Flow Heavy Clubs.

Dutch Flow Heavy Club

A two-handed wooden club inspired by the clubbell, Mudgar and karlakattai. It comes in two weights: 4kg (beginner) and 6kg (intermediate). This club is well balanced and perfect for the Heavy Club Courses.

BOOM 💥 FridayFlow

This week we’re discussing the Uppercut Press Lunge. A full body beginner workout that you can do with a standard steel mace or Macebell. It involves a Ribbon Uppercut, connected to a shoulder press and backward lunge.

1. Start by bringing your top hand to position 3 in Dagger grip (thumb down).
2. Drop the globe while keeping a 90 degree angle in the arms. The elbows lift up and back. The mace should now be in a parallel position from the ground.
3. Uppercut to the side as the handle hand moves over the head and pulls the mace around the head.
4. Bring the mace behind the body like you’re going to do a barbell squat.
5. Step back with the leg on the side of the glove of the mace
6. Sink down into a lunge as you press the globe hand up until the arm is straight above the head.
7. Drop the weight again behind the head and step back up out of the lunge
8. Reverse uppercut the mace back to the beginning position and try with the other hand.

Upcoming workshop in Amsterdam 🇳🇱

Three three hour intro workshops that all serve a different purpose.

This weekend we’ll organize an introduction workshop for the mace and Gada. You’ll learn everything to get you started and progressing with the steel mace or Macebell.

On Friday the 26th of June we’ll organize a breathwork workshop. This will be a deep breakthrough breathwork session where you will experience and understand what the breath can do for you.

On the 26th of July we’ll organize an Indian or Light Clubs workshop that takes three hours at . In this workshop you’ll learn all the insight you need to start and progressing with Indian clubs.

BOOM 💥 FridayFlow

This weeks FridayFlow is for Indian or light clubs. It is a beginner Indian clubs workout and the flow is called: Elbow Flow.

This flow is specially designed to help lubricate the elbow joint and strengthen its surrounding muscles. Never move into pain and stop if you do feel it coming up. Start with a light weight to focus on the movements and the proper technique.

1. Start in the block position and supinate by pointing the clubs forward.
2. Pronate as you extend the arms while keeping the clubs pointing forwards.
3. Return back to the block position in the same way and open up through the shoulder blades. The clubs are now facing one another.
4. Pronate from the elbow and point the club’s forwards in this position.
5. While keeping the clubs in the same position extend the arms.
6. Flex the arms and come back.
7. Supinate from the elbow to have the clubs face one another again.
8. Rotate the elbows in to arrive back in the block position.

The Online Level 1 Mace Instructor Certification is almost starting 🚨

In three months this certification takes you through the entire Level 1 Mace Instructor Certification of Dutch Flow Academy.

Phase 1. June

In this month you’ll go through two online courses preparing you for the certification that is to come.

Phase 2. July

During this month you’ll learn all the individual movements connected to the certification includes cues and errors.

Phase 3. August

In this month we’ll connect things together with transitions into flows. You’ll also learn how to create a group training with the material that you’ve learned in the certification.

This is an intense and in-depth course that builds the foundations like no other course in existence. The details and amount of practice in this certification is incredible.

The certification includes calls to check in with the other participants. You can do this from your place anywhere in the 🌎
