BYKE STORE is al jarenlang sponsor van Challenge Almere-Amsterdam en ook dit jaar zijn we er weer volop bij. Niet alleen als sponsor, maar vooral als liefhebbers van de sport.

Eigenaar Tjardo Visser is voormalig professioneel triatleet en weet als geen ander wat er komt kijken bij het leveren van een topprestatie. Tjardo stond zelf meerdere keren aan de start van Challenge Almere en werd maar liefst drie keer de snelste Almeerder.

Die passie voor de sport delen we met ons hele team. Daarom doen we dit jaar zelf ook weer mee met twee teams aan de RABO Business Relay. Daarnaast staan verschillende BYKE STORE-medewerkers aan de start van de halve triathlon. Zo beleven we Challenge Almere-Amsterdam niet alleen vanuit de winkel en langs het parcours, maar ook zelf op en rond het parcours.

En juist dat maakt onze betrokkenheid zo mooi. We weten hoe belangrijk een goed onderhouden en perfect afgestelde fiets is, maar ook hoe het voelt om aan de start te staan, de spanning te ervaren en uiteindelijk die finish in Almere te bereiken.

Als echte Almeerse fietsenwinkel zijn we trots dat we al jarenlang onderdeel mogen zijn van Challenge Almere-Amsterdam. Een evenement dat bij onze stad hoort én bij onze passie voor de fiets en triathlon.

BYKE STORE has been a proud sponsor of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam for years, and we are fully involved again this year. Not just as a sponsor, but above all as true enthusiasts of the sport.

Owner Tjardo Visser is a former professional triathlete and knows better than anyone what it takes to deliver a peak performance. Tjardo himself has lined up at Challenge Almere multiple times and was named the fastest local athlete from Almere no less than three times.

Our entire team shares that passion for the sport. That is why we are competing again this year with two teams in the RABO Business Relay. On top of that, several BYKE STORE employees will be competing in the Middle Distance triathlon. This allows us to experience Challenge Almere-Amsterdam not only from our shop and along the sidelines, but right on the course itself.

That is precisely what makes our commitment so special. We know how crucial a well-maintained and perfectly tuned bike is, but also how it feels to stand at the start line, feel the excitement, and finally cross that finish line in Almere.

As a local bike shop from Almere, we are proud to have been part of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam for so many years - an event that belongs to our city and aligns perfectly with our passion for biking and triathlon.

Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is so much more than just the fastest athletes in the world or the thousands of Age Groupers chasing personal bests on Saturday. Take our No Limit Challenge as an example, taking place a day earlier for people with an intellectual disability. This incredibly enthusiastic group swims for twenty minutes, followed by a 25 kilometers bike ride and a 7km walk. Today, a special shoutout to Hellen, who is participating for the twelfth (!) time!

Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is zóveel meer dan alleen de snelste atleten ter wereld of de duizenden Age Groupers die op zaterdag jagen op persoonlijke records. Neem onze No Limit Challenge, die een dag eerder plaatsvindt voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. Deze zeer enthousiaste groep zwemt twintig minuten, fietst 25 kilometer en wandelt afsluitend nog een kilometer of zeven. Vandaag een speciale shoutout naar Hellen, die al voor de twaalfde (!) keer meedoet!
