Been there, done that, and I’m telling you… it’s better with friends! And fellow SHE Venturers are just new friends 😌 If you prefer to solo to feel a sense of accomplishment, self-reflect, and challenge yourself in new ways…I get it! But I’ve learned that travelling in a large group also has its own challenges. Something is bound to not go according to plan when numbers increase, and honestly, that’s where the best learning happens (just remember to sign your waiver first 😊 😂).

Highland Trail 💫 I think this one might become a standing annual SHE V trip. My favourite part about running this business so far has been the CHILLIN’ 🧊 Literally. Not the hiking, paddling, administrative work, training, or anything of that nature. It’s been meeting so many incredible people that constantly have me thinking “wait….they should be the one leading this.” The number of new camp snacks that I’ve discovered over the past year from trip participants is out of this world. Overnight protein oats in the bear hang? Thank you SHE Venturers for teaching me your ways 🙇♀️. The cool thing about SHE V is that you’re not just learning from me. I’m learning from you. And we are all learning from each other 😌 and if you come on a trip with Nina, we will send her to fetch anything that you forgot in the car because she’s a speed demon 🏃♀️ 💨
Ok but be honest, is this reel too cheesy for Instagram 😅 😂? I’m doing my best 🥲 For real though… if you haven’t been backcountry camping before, join us! And we promise you will want to go again and again 😊
Friendly reminder to myself to still make time for our annual father-daughter backcountry trip amongst all of the adventures and personal obligations 🫶🏻

Meet Michelle 🤍
Michelle is a multi-passionate wellness practitioner, yoga teacher, and intuitive guide with a compassionate approach to holding space for others. Michelle blends an intuitive understanding of what each individual may need— helping people slow down mentally, reconnect with their bodies, and move through experiences in a way that feels more digestible both mentally and somatically.
Her work is rooted in self-awareness and nervous system support, with a focus on helping others truly feel what is coming up for them rather than rushing through it.
Michelle’s trainings and areas of study include:
• Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra Teacher
• Guided Female Somatic Body Meditations (Breast + Womb-Based Practices)
• Intuitive Tarot + Oracle Readings
• Astrology Interpretations
• Human Design Interpretations
• Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Organ Theory
• Cannabis Education
• Hypnotherapy (currently in training)
Michelle will be co-guiding the September Grundy Lake Backcountry Yin Yoga Retreat, offering restorative yoga practices and optional intuitive readings throughout the weekend.
I never used to practice restorative or yin yoga until I attended one of Michelle’s classes. Now, it’s a regular part of my practice (but typically only if led by Michelle)! She’s helped me feel more regulated, more rested, and most importantly more connected to myself 🤍 I want as many people as possible to be able to experience her magic, and am thrilled she said yes to join us this Fall 🙏🏻

A slow weekend of backcountry canoe camping, yin yoga, yoga nidra, and astrology in Northern Ontario 💫
September is my personal favourite time to camp! The water has had all season to warm up, which makes it perfect for swimming 🏊♀️! The bugs are gone. The leaves are starting to change colour. It’s not too hot. Not too cold. The summer crowds are gone. If you haven’t backcountry camped before, there’s no better time to try than September 🙏🏻

• 2 nights backcountry camping in Grundy Lake Provincial Park
• Foundational flatwater canoe skills + camp set-up guidance
