"A 20 year old girl who was still a virgin is very very very obviously not a s3xuəlly loose person.

In this day of easy gratification and the way we have made s3x so casual, at the age of 20, keeping herself was not merely a process of being young and unexposed, but an active decision of staying away from s3x.

The typical yuppie 20 year old today has probably had their umpteenth s3xual experience with many having one or two or even several children to show.

Many women lost theirs way younger and remained responsible and disciplined.

Her being in a hotel room with a man she had never known was losing guard.

But I will never paint her as being loose like many are trying to imply.

Not that being loose makes her less deserving of justice anyway.

Even a prɔst!tute can be rəpɛð and is just as deserving of justice.

Like I said, what would make a 20 year old virgin, who obviously fought all manner of s3xual predators suddenly agree to be in a hotel room with a male stranger?

Two critical factors hit me.

1. Pedigree of the potential abuser.

She kept talking about how she felt Odogwu Asaba was well known and how she was certain he wouldn’t soil his online credibility by such a basal act.

When I visit Nigeria, I have had several female acquaintances walk right into my hotel room in the safety of the fact that (according to a few of them)….”you are a popular online personality, a family man and a medical doctor who has a lot to lose”.

And in a way they are correct. Apart from the fact that I am not one who can sustain an er3ction if the woman is not also enjoying the s3x, there is too much at stake.

That aside, the Odogwu man has this kind of innocent look about him, the type I am sure would reassure any girl who doesn’t know his dark side.

Well, she didn’t know the man was a re**rd who was ready to throw all he had for a few minutes of pleasure.

Or perhaps rəp!ŋg women was always his thing, but he had been lucky getting away with it.

2. Poverty.

I suspected this, but looking at her parents and the way they went about begging for 7M to settle hospital fees, it was obvious this family was not only struggling, but increasingly desperate.

Such type of families push their children into all sorts of dangerous activities to make ends meet.

Perhaps this was the critical factor that blindsided her to the dangers of meeting a total stranger in a far away place, even after fending off another man in Abuja.

She must have done her own safety assessment within the context of this desperation of poverty, and felt Odogwu Asaba was the safer option.

And to show you poverty played a key role, she was ready to let the whole thing slide if the guy had as much as given her just 50K.

Imagine holding yourself till 20 years of age, fending off all manners of men with some offering you money, only to be ready to forgive someone who stole your v!rginity for 50K.

That girl was not loose.

She kept herself to 20 years.

People lose theirs at 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.

Poverty has made others (including some asking silly questions) do worse.

Poverty has made heterosexual men sl33p with their fellow men.

Made women have multiple partners.

Made women endure strange s3xual acts.

At 20, that girl tried.

But there is only so much you can endure with grinding poverty.

Poverty that can blind your sense of judgement.

In trying to avoid a trap, she walked straight into another.

People have paid less price for bigger mistakes.

May her soul rest in peace.

If she is to come this realm again, may she face a more humane destiny.

And may her rəp!st face the full wrath of the law."
