Happy World Senior Citizens Day! Thank you to the grandparents and family members who show up for children with CP! Caregiving is a village effort, and we're grateful for every hand that helps.

Today is World Humanitarian Day, and we're thinking of the therapists, volunteers, and staff who do this work day in and day out! Thank you so much for all you do.

Children with CP can feel things differently. Some children feel upset by loud noises or bright lights, while others don't. See what this looks like day-to-day and small ways to support a child's sensory needs.

This week's tip: the 5-4-3-2-1 method.
Name 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. It takes less than a minute and brings you right back to the present moment. Try it the next time things feel stressful.

A fomal diagnosis typically comes from s pediatric neurologist, often supported by am MRI and developmental assessments, ususally within the first two years, though for some families it takes longer. However along the road, diagnosis is the start of access: to therapy, to support, and to a plan built around your child.

Often the first sign isn't a diagnosis. It's a parent noticing something feels a little different. Missed milestones, unusual muscle tone, or a preference for one side of the body are common early flags that lead families to ask questions
