Lauren James has revealed she refused to wear a Reece James shirt while supporting England at the World Cup. 😂

"I told my mum and my little sister that we were not putting Reece James' name on the back of the shirt. I've seen everyone do it when they're coming to support their family, but I didn't want anyone to know Reece James' sister was there."

Lauren admitted she simply wanted to experience the tournament like any other fan.

"I wanted to walk through the crowd without anyone knowing who I was. I loved the atmosphere when you watch a game as a fan rather than as a VIP—the emotions, the feeling, even kicking the air when the players shoot the ball while watching!"

LJ travelled to Miami and Atlanta to support England during the World Cup quarter-finals and semi-finals, but true to her personality, she preferred to stay out of the spotlight.

Lauren James really doesn't enjoy the attention—she just loves football. 💙

Shakira and Burna Boy performed their song "Dai Dai," the official anthem of the at the tournament's opening ceremony held on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The event took place at the Estadio Ciudad de México (formerly known as the Estadio Azteca) in Mexico City, just ahead of the opening match between Mexico and South Africa.

The performance featured both artists on a large stage set up on the field, accompanied by dancers and fireworks to mark the beginning of the tournament.
