Announcing the 2nd edition of Art Ova Yap: The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) annual touring Art Show.
This year’s edition features 9 artists working across painting, sculpture, mixed media, installation and functional Art.
Showing in the Southern city of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Art Ova Yap is the confraternity’s platform, leveraging Art as a vehicle for advocacy, exchange and interaction with the wider society.
Featuring emerging and established artists. Their collective practice at once reveals how shared ideologies and experiences can shape individual artistic expressions.

ANNOUNCING THE 28TH WOLE SOYINKA LECTURE
The 28th Wole Soyinka Lecture Series, featuring the NAS Martyr’s Day, reflects on Nigeria’s long struggle for democracy and the civic sacrifices that shaped its political evolution. This year’s theme - “Reclaiming the Nigerian State through Accountability, Justice and Civic Courage” - addresses the urgent need to confront decades of impunity, weakened institutions, insecurity, and eroded public trust in governance.

National Association of Seadogs, Panama Deck (Ikeja) embarked on an
educational campaign focused on effective waste disposal, recycling habits, and creating a healthier environment for young people.
The project, named KAPTAIN CLEAN: Green School, Clean Community, took place at the Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior School, Ojodu-Berger. Students from the school gained invaluable insight into practical waste sorting and disposal techniques, and how to play active roles in driving impactful societal change.
Panama Deck also donated plastic/recycle waste storage units to the school.

National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) - Dutse Deck (Plateau State) embarked on a visit to LEA Primary School, Gold and Base, Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State.
The visit was to share rain coats to the school children who, at some point, had to go to school under the rain without any form of covering .

Zanas Deck (Lagos Mainland) of the National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) recently carried out an environmental advocacy project aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier community.
The initiative which held at Oyadiran Estate in the Makoko area of Lagos, provided an opportunity for members of the association to engage residents on the importance of maintaining a clean environment and adopting proper waste disposal practices.
In addition to the community sensitization exercise, members of the association distributed cleaning materials to residents to support and encourage effective waste management, including the proper collection and bagging of refuse.

National Association of Seadogs, Sahara Deck (Abuja) has donated speed limit signage to help create awareness and reduce over speeding by motorists plying Airport Road by ICS/Idu junction in Abuja.
The materials were received by the Chief Route Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (), Mr Godwin Igbabo.
Second Mate of NAS - Sahara Deck, Mr Aloy Atsenokhai described the gesture as part of NAS's social responsibility interventions.

National Association of Seadogs - Saratoga X Deck (Festac, Apapa, Ejigbo Lagos), in partnership with the Lagos State Command of the Federal Fire Service, has carried out a fire safety sensitisation campaign, and called on Nigerians to be more conscious of the triggers of fire incidents, whilst taking preventive measures to avert outbreaks.
Highlights of the campaign which took place at the Mile 2 Estare in Amuwo Odofin Local Council Area were a simulated fire outbreak containment drill by personnel of the Festac Fire Station Command, and the presentation of firefighting equipment to the community by NAS - Saratoga X Deck.
