The NSSU Policy Drafting Committee held its inaugural meeting at the NSSU Headquarters in Olympia, Windhoek , taking the first step towards aligning the NSSU Constitution with the ongoing reform process and strengthening governance.

Day One ✅
The NSSU Under-18 Netball National Team was officially sent off today at 12:00 PM at NSSU headquarters ahead of their international tour to South Africa. The ceremony was attended by the NSSU committee, sponsors, and parents who gathered to wish the team well before departure.
The team will be competing in Boksburg, from 6 to 10 July (Monday to Friday next week) , where they will face strong regional competition.
Team captain Abbigail Uiras delivered a confident message, stating that the team is not only going to participate but is determined to compete at a high level and be dominant throughout the tournament.
Head coach Aletta expressed her gratitude toward the players, praising their commitment and improvement during recent friendly matches. She added that the squad has shown strong progress and is well prepared for the challenge ahead.
The NSSU committee and sponsors encouraged continued support from the public as the team represents Namibia on the international stage. The send-off reflected unity, pride, and high expectations as the squad embarks on their journey.
The NSSU Under-18 team now travels with confidence and strong backing, ready to make their mark in Boksburg next week.

12 Girls Earn Places in the NSSU U/18 National Netball Team
Out of an impressive pool of 98 talented netball players from across Namibia, 12 outstanding athletes have earned their places in the NSSU Under-18 National Netball Team.
The selected squad will proudly represent Namibia at the Telkom Netball Championships, which will take place in Boksburg, South Africa, from 7–11 July 2026. The tournament provides a valuable platform for the country's rising netball stars to compete at an international level and gain invaluable experience against top regional opposition.
The team will depart for South Africa on 4 July 2026 and will be accompanied by the following officials:

Assistant Coach: Kamwi Mpambo
Medic: Donatha Ngunovandu
The Namibia School Sport Union (NSSU) congratulates all 12 selected athletes and the management team on this remarkable achievement. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment have earned them the honour of representing Namibia on the international stage.

Yesterday, NSSU had the privilege of capturing the official launch of the Top Score National Elite Championships, powered by ModelNamibia and driven by Indongo Toyota Windhoek.
The event was officially launched by Hon. Deputy Minister Dino Ballotti, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for school sport in Namibia.
NSSU remains committed to promoting and celebrating excellence in school sport across the country.
