Sometimes we overlook the small things in life—the moments that truly make a safari unforgettable.

A hunt is about so much more than the harvest. It's about the early mornings, the breathtaking sunrises, the tracks in the dust, the stories shared around the campfire, the friendships that are built, and the memories created along the way.

Every safari is a unique journey, filled with experiences that stay with you long after you've returned home. The wildlife, the landscapes, the laughter, and the adventure all come together to create something truly special.
At the end of the day, it's not just about the hunt—it's about the memories made, the people you share them with, and the privilege of experiencing Africa in its purest form.

These are the moments that make every safari one worth remembering.

Baiting predators is never an easy job. Recently, while hunting in Zimbabwe, we had to refresh several bait sites by dragging scent trails to increase activity around the baits.
It is hard work that requires dedication, patience, and often a very strong stomach. The smell can be overwhelming, and spending long hours handling bait is certainly not for everyone. However, what may seem unpleasant to us is exactly what attracts predators and keeps them returning to the bait sites.
Successful predator hunting often begins long before the hunt itself. Proper bait placement, scent management, and continuous maintenance of bait sites are all critical factors that contribute to a successful and ethical hunt.
The effort behind the scenes is substantial, but when everything comes together, it is one of the most rewarding aspects of predator hunting.

The Importance of Shot Placement in Elephant Hunting

When it comes to elephant hunting, there is absolutely no room for error. Shot placement is critical, especially when a client is presented with a frontal shot opportunity.

Many people don't realise that an elephant's head is structured like a honeycomb, with the brain being a relatively small target. A brain shot requires precision, knowledge, and confidence. This is why proper preparation before the hunt is essential.

Before the hunt even begins, it is vital that your Professional Hunter thoroughly discusses different shot placements and possible scenarios with the client. Understanding the anatomy of an elephant and knowing where to place a shot under various circumstances can make all the difference when the moment of truth arrives.

A brain shot is not always the best or safest option. If there is any uncertainty or discomfort with the angle presented, the heart/lung shot should be considered. It offers a much larger target area and greatly reduces the chances of making a costly mistake.

We believe that ethical hunting starts with proper preparation, clear communication, and responsible decision-making in the field. When the opportunity comes, a well-informed hunter is a confident and effective hunter.

Knowledge, preparation, and shot placement save lives, ensure ethical hunts, and create unforgettable experiences in Africa's wild places.

A special thank you for the fantastic photographs and displays shared. These images are not only beautiful but also serve as valuable educational tools for hunters around the world.

After every safari, all of my vehicles go through a compulsory inspection day. We check the tyres, equipment, bolts, nuts, shocks, brake pads, and much more, followed by a full service where needed.

Since implementing this routine after every safari, our maintenance costs have dropped by almost half. More importantly, we can identify and address problems immediately before they become major issues.

Your equipment is what puts bread and butter on your table. Look after it, and it will look after you.
Preventive maintenance isn't an expense—it's an investment.

After each hunt, we make it a priority to remove all active and old bait sites to ensure the area is left clean and in its natural condition. Any remaining meat is placed where spotted hyenas and other predators can consume it, ensuring that nothing goes to waste.

Responsible hunting is about more than the hunt itself—it is about respecting the environment and maintaining the land. We believe it is important to leave every block and bait site as clean as it was before the hunt began.

Conservation, respect for wildlife, and responsible land stewardship remain at the heart of everything we

After many hours, countless kilometers, and a tremendous amount of effort, we've now set up bait stations across more than 60 km of terrain. Trail cameras are in place, and every possible step has been taken.
Now comes the waiting game.

The leopard has proven to be incredibly elusive, but we're hopeful that patience, persistence, and preparation will soon tip the odds in our favor. Every day brings us one step closer.

Thank you to everyone involved in this ongoing effort. We'll keep you updated as the story unfolds

After a few extremely busy days and many long hours in the field, we finally had some exciting action. We successfully secured a medium-sized elephant, followed by a beautiful stallion zebra trophy. This particular zebra had previously survived a lion attack, making it an especially unique and memorable animal.

After a long day recovering the elephant and regrouping with the rest of the team, we spent the remainder of the day setting out baits in the hope that a big tom might be feeding somewhere nearby. Unfortunately, no luck so far — but the hunt continues.

We then decided to take a short break and attend an event in town to lift morale and regroup before the next push. It turned into an amazing evening, and we would like to thank everyone involved so far for their hard work and support. Everything is going according to plan, and now we look forward to seeing what the A-Team can produce in the days ahead.
Stay tuned — more adventure to come.
