Nam wrestlers set for Spanish Grand Prix test Namibia’s wrestling ambitions will receive a major boost when three local athletes compete against some of the world’s best wrestlers at the 2026 Grand Prix

🇳🇦 Team Namibia is heading to Spain! 🤼

We proudly congratulate our Namibian wrestlers Lazarus Mwetako Haibodi, Virinao Cliff Nguatjiti, and Lafras Uys on their selection to represent Namibia at the Grand Prix of Spain from 10 to 12 July 2026, followed by a United World Wrestling Training Camp in Madrid.

This is a proud milestone for our athletes as they compete against some of the world’s best while gaining valuable international experience on their journey towards the 2027 African Wrestling Championships and Olympic qualification.

We wish our wrestlers and National Head Coach Luis Forcelledo Paz every success as they proudly fly the Namibian flag on the international stage.

The NWF team that competed at the SA National Championships competition on Saturday delivered outstanding results. From 35 wrestlers entered,the team achieved a total of 35 medals.
