CAPE TOWN BOUND!

The squad is locked in and heading to the Mother City for the International Test Series against South Africa from 18-25 July ‘26. Let’s rally behind our ladies as they take the court to represent the Land of the Brave!

From 17–20 June, the NHU, with the generous support of the Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC), sent five of our national coaches to Cape Town for the FIH Level 3 Coaching Course.
Held in conjunction with the FIH Nations Cup, this high-performance program provides our coaches with elite certification and advanced international training methodologies.
Congratulations to Maryke Short, Jerrica Bartlett, Kagiso Mosiane, Dakota Hansen, and Christo du Raan on their dedication to the sport. We extend our major appreciations to the NNOC for their unwavering commitment to our athletes and staff. 🇳🇦

Today, the Namibia Hockey Union joins the rest of the continent in celebrating Africa Day!

We celebrate our rich diversity, our vibrant heritage, and the undeniable passion that unites us all across the continent. From grassroots development to the international stage, we are incredibly proud to represent the Land of the Brave and fly the Namibian flag high within the African hockey family.

The Namibia Indoor Hockey League (NIHL) concludes its season this weekend! From the highly anticipated Premier League Finals to the intense Second Tier Playoffs and Finals, all roads lead to the Wanderers (WAP) Hall in Pioneers Park this 15–16 May 2026.

Namibia Hockey, led by its president, Mrs. Carin Slabbert, met with Deputy Minister Hon. Dino Ballotti at today to strengthen our partnership and discuss the growth of the sport nationwide. The engagement focused on upgrading regional facilities, identifying grassroots talent, and officially recognizing hockey as a national sports code.

Hon. Ballotti commended the team for their dedication to youth empowerment and national pride, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to creating an environment where our athletes can thrive. We look forward to reaching new heights together!
