Before we hit the road, please take note of the Race Number Collection details:

WHAT TO BRING:
🪪 Your ID
💳 Proof of payment (in case we need to confirm)
🏃🏽 NMC Membership Card (NMC members only)

❗ IMPORTANT: There will be NO race number collection on the day of the event.

Can’t make it personally? No worries! 🙌🏽 Someone else can collect your race number on your behalf, provided they bring the required documents. A photo of your ID will be accepted.

And just like that… the WCRC 5×5 & 7×7 Spring Challenges have come to an end! 🌸🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

7 days. 49 KM.

Countless kilometres, early mornings, tough days and plenty of determination! 💪🔥

Today, we came together for the GRAND FINALE and finished strong! 🙌
To everyone who showed up, stayed consistent and pushed through to the finish , YOU DID IT! 🏆👏

This was more than just running. It was about consistency, commitment, community and showing up.

WCRC at the Hakahana Lacho Half Marathon 2026! 🔥

Another Saturday, another finish line! 💪🏾

Today, our runners showed up and represented Windhoek City Runners Club with strength, determination and great spirit at the Lacho Hakahana Half Marathon 2026 Hakahana Lacho Power and Gas CC . 🏅👏🏾

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ WCRC 2026 SPRING CHALLENGE 🔥

It’s time to challenge yourself, stay consistent and keep moving! 💪

🔵 7×7 CHALLENGE

📅 30 August – 5 September 2026
🏃 7 km every day for 7 consecutive days
🎯 Total: 49 km

🟢 5×5 CHALLENGE

📅 1–5 September 2026
🏃 5 km every day for 5 consecutive days
🎯 Total: 25 km

📌 CHALLENGE RULES:

- You must complete the designated distance or more (5km for 5x5; 7km for 7x7) on each consecutive day on the designated dates.
- ⁠No skipping of days, and no shifting of dates.
- You can run (or walk) anywhere, any time, at any pace, as long as your run is recorded and uploaded to Strava (please note we are no longer using Challenge Hound for this challenge) before the end of each designated day.
- ⁠Please join the Spring Challenge on Strava to facilitate verification of your activities.
- ⁠Kindly ensure that your registration name and your Strava account name correspond.
- ⁠Equally, please ensure your account is public for the duration of the challenge for purposes of verification.
- You must complete each run (or walk) in a single activity (no splitting the distance into more than one activity).
- ⁠Please don’t stop your device abruptly at either 5km or 7km. Add a few metres to make sure the platform doesn’t rob you of your well earned distance. ;)
- Finishers medals for all who complete the challenge in line with the above rules.
- ⁠Medal collection is available only in Windhoek, at the Challenge Finale event on 5 September 2026 at Namibia Padel (starting at 06h30) or after the NMC run on 12 September.

GAME CHANGERS 2026 , WE SHOWED UP! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️🔥

Windhoek City Runners Club was proud to partner with One Economy Foundation to bring the Game Changers Vol. 3 to life.

The Game Changers initiative uses sport as a platform to bring people together, encourage meaningful conversations and inspire positive action around mental well-being, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and standing against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBV-F).

A huge thank you to One Economy Foundation for trusting us as your running partner, and to every runner, volunteer, supporter and partner who made today special. 🙌🏾

Today, we didn’t just run, we ran with purpose. 💪🏾
