Strengthening Regional Partnerships Through Trade and Connectivity 🌍⚓
Today, Namport had the privilege of hosting Her Excellency Lucia Witbooi, Vice President of the Republic of Namibia, and His Honour Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe, Vice President of the Republic of Botswana, accompanied by Hon. Emma Theofelus, Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Hon. Dr. Nathalia /Goagoses, Governor of the Erongo Region, members of the Botswana Dry Port Board, and other high-level government and business delegates.
The delegation was welcomed by Namport Acting CEO, Elias Mwenyo, together with Namport executives, management and staff, and received insights into the Port of Walvis Bay's strategic role in facilitating regional trade, connectivity and economic integration through the Trans-Kalahari Corridor. The visit concluded with a guided port tour, ending at the Botswana Dry Port, underscoring the strong and enduring partnership between Namibia and Botswana in advancing regional trade and economic growth.

🚢 A Warm Welcome to VIKING YI DUN at the Port of Walvis Bay!
Namport is delighted to welcome VIKING YI DUN to the Port of Walvis Bay following her maiden call to Namibia.
To commemorate the occasion, a traditional crest exchange ceremony was held on board between Port Captain Lukas Kufuna and the vessel's Master, symbolising friendship, mutual respect, and the strengthening of international maritime partnerships.
The arrival of VIKING YI DUN further reinforces Walvis Bay's position as a premier cruise destination and gateway to Namibia's unique tourism experiences.

🚢 A Historic Maiden Call to Namibia!
Namport proudly welcomes VIKING YI DUN on her maiden call to Namibian ports, marking a significant milestone for the country's growing cruise tourism sector.
Having made her first stop at the Port of Lüderitz, the vessel is now en route to the Port of Walvis Bay, where she is expected to arrive tomorrow.
We look forward to extending another warm Namibian welcome as we continue to position our ports as premier cruise destinations on the African coastline.

The Namport Social Investment Fund officially handed over two fully equipped ambulances to the Ministry of Health and Social Services to enhance emergency healthcare services in the Kalkfeld and Gam districts of the Otjozondjupa Region.

Today, the Namport Social Investment Fund, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, donated two fully equipped ambulances valued at N$2.7 million to strengthen healthcare delivery in the Otjozondjupa Region. The ambulances are earmarked for the Kalkfeld and Gam districts, improving access to emergency medical services for rural communities.
This investment underscores Namport's commitment to enhancing the well-being of communities and supporting equitable access to essential healthcare services across Namibia.

Blankets were handed over to the elderly at Masivi Village in the Kapako Constituency, Kavango West, by Elias Mwenyo, Namport Executive for Commercial Services.
