一位从太平出发、走向国际的艺术家，始终没有忘记自己的根。❤️

郑傅安教授回馈家乡，在太平阿三古邦设立现代美术馆，将多年在世界各地创作的艺术作品带回太平，让家乡人也有机会近距离感受现代艺术的魅力。

从太平出发，走遍世界；如今带着艺术回到故乡，这份“从哪里来，也不忘回到哪里”的情怀，特别珍贵。

未来，美术馆也计划进一步发展为结合现代艺术与雕塑花园的空间，为太平增添一处独具特色的艺术文化地标。

很荣幸受邀并亲自参与这场开幕典礼。🙏

An artist who set out from Taiping and made his mark on the international stage, yet never forgot where he came from. ❤️

Professor Cheng Fu An has given back to his hometown by establishing a Modern Art Museum in Assam Kumbang, Taiping, bringing together artworks he has created over the years around the world and giving the local community an opportunity to experience the beauty of modern art up close.

From Taiping to the world, and now bringing his art back home — this heartfelt journey of remembering one’s roots is truly precious.

Looking ahead, the museum also plans to further develop into a unique space combining modern art with a sculpture garden, adding another distinctive cultural and artistic landmark to Taiping.

It was truly an honour to be invited and to personally attend the opening ceremony. 🙏

Here, I’m sharing just a few photos from the event. As for the rest of the artistic experience, I won’t spoil it for you just yet. 😉

If you’re interested, I highly recommend visiting the museum in person and experiencing it for yourself. You may just discover that art is much closer to us than we think. 🎨

🐒🤍 太平山的惊喜偶遇｜一群叶猴中的两只“白色叶猴”
听闻太平山（Bukit Larut）曾出现过毛色特别浅的叶猴很久了，没想到今天竟然让我亲眼遇见！
爬太平山时，原本只是抱着看看山林风景、寻找野生动物的心情，没想到在一群叶猴（Silvered Leaf Monkey）当中，竟然发现了两只毛色明显呈白色的特别个体！🐒🤍
能够在自然环境中遇见这样的画面，真的非常幸运。看到的那一刻，马上拿起手机，把这难得的一幕记录下来。📸
为什么会出现“白色叶猴”？
其实，它们未必代表什么“新品种”。比较可能的情况，包括天然的遗传毛色变异、部分白化（leucism）或白化（albinism）。
有些叶猴因为遗传因素，体内色素较少，毛发颜色会比一般个体明显更浅，甚至呈现接近白色的状态。
另外，幼年叶猴的毛色本来就可能比成年个体浅，加上阳光照射，也可能让原本银灰色的毛发看起来更加洁白。
如果是全身毛发非常白，同时眼睛、皮肤等部位也明显缺乏色素，才比较可能与白化有关；如果只是毛发呈白色，而眼睛和皮肤的颜色仍然正常，则可能属于其他类型的色素变异。
当然，单凭照片并无法确定这两只叶猴究竟属于哪一种情况，还需要专业人士进一步观察和判断。
但无论它们究竟是什么原因造成这样的毛色，在太平山的自然环境中，一次遇见两只如此特别的叶猴，对我来说，绝对是一份难得的缘分。❤️🌿

🐒🤍 A Rare Encounter at Bukit Larut
I’ve heard about the “white” leaf monkeys at Bukit Larut for quite some time, and today I was lucky enough to see two of them among a group of Silvered Leaf Monkeys!
Their unusual white fur could be due to natural genetic variation, leucism, or possibly albinism. It’s difficult to determine the exact cause from photos alone, but seeing two of them in their natural habitat was truly a rare and special moment. 📸🐒🤍
Nature always has a way of surprising us. 🌿

太平人，真的越来越会办大活动了！
不知道大家有没有发现，这几年来的太平，正在悄悄发生一些很不一样的变化。
从一年一度的两大型越野赛事，到行管乐节、国际泰拳赛事，再到各种文化、体育和国际活动，越来越多不同规模、不同国家参与的活动，正在太平这座小城发生。
而明天的 Taiping Half Marathon 2026，更是让人期待。据了解，这场赛事吸引了 7000，名跑者参与，并有来自多达22个国家的国际跑者来到太平。赛事本身也已经成为太平近年来越来越具代表性的体育活动之一。
这其实说明了一件事：
太平，已经不再只是“一个适合生活的小城”，而正在慢慢成为一个能够举办国际活动、吸引国际人士到来的城市。
当越来越多外地人、外国朋友因为赛事来到太平，他们看到的不只是赛道，而是我们的古迹、百年老树、太平湖、文化、美食，还有太平人的热情。
我近几年来一直听到的一句话：
「把世界带来太平，把太平带向全世界。」
以前听起来，或许只是一句口号。
但现在看来，这句话正在一步一步变成现实。
我们未必要把太平变成一座喧闹的大城市。
太平真正应该做的，是把自己的特色做到最好，把自然、历史、文化、体育和旅游结合起来，让全世界慢慢认识这座“雨城”。
让更多人因为一个赛事来到太平，
因为太平的美留下来，
最后因为喜欢太平，再回来。
这，才是属于太平自己的国际化。
太平人，继续加油。
我们要做的，不只是举办一场又一场的活动，
而是让越来越多人知道

＊这里值得来。
＊这里，正在被世界看见。
把世界带来太平，把太平带向全世界。

Taiping is becoming a city that knows how to host big events!
From trail-running events and marching band festivals to international Muay Thai competitions and the Taiping Half Marathon 2026, more and more international events are putting Taiping on the map.
Tomorrow’s Taiping Half Marathon is expected to bring together around 7,000 runners from 22 countries.
This is more than just a sporting event. It is an opportunity for the world to discover Taiping’s heritage, nature, food, culture and, most importantly, the warmth of Taiping people.

太平动物园近日新增两辆复古造型的导览电动车，外形精致可爱、十分吸睛，不仅为园区增添了一抹复古风情，也让游客的游园体验更加有趣。
除了这两辆特色导览电动车外，园方也增添了两辆大型导览电动车，以应付日益增加的游客人潮，进一步提升园内的接驳效率与服务品质。
从持续优化设施、提升服务到扩充接驳设备，不难看出太平动物园正不断迈向更完善的发展。相信随着各项软硬体设施持续升级，未来将吸引更多国内外游客到访，为太平旅游注入更多活力与魅力。

Taiping Zoo has recently introduced two charming vintage-style electric tour vehicles, adding a unique touch and enhancing the overall visitor experience.

In addition, the zoo has also added two larger electric tour vehicles to better accommodate the growing number of visitors, improving both transportation within the park and overall service quality.

These continuous upgrades reflect Taiping Zoo's commitment to enhancing its facilities and visitor experience. With ongoing improvements, the zoo is set to attract even more local and international tourists, further strengthening Taiping's appeal as a tourism destination.

对于许多老一辈太平人来说，太平湖酒店不仅仅是一间酒店，更是一段属于太平的集体回忆。

坐落在美丽的太平湖旁，当年的太平湖景酒店，曾是太平重要的地标之一。那个年代，太平还是一个充满活力的城镇，锡矿业、商业活动和旅游发展带动了城市的繁荣，酒店也成为许多商人、游客以及社会人士聚集交流的地方。

每当夜幕降临，太平湖酒店灯火璀璨，歌声、笑声和人来人往，见证了那个年代属于太平的热闹与繁华。许多老一辈太平人至今仍记得，那里的夜生活曾经是城市最令人期待的时光。

岁月流逝，建筑或许会改变，但记忆不会消失。

今天的年轻一代，可能很难想象当年太平湖景酒店的辉煌；但对于经历过那个年代的人来说，那不仅是一座酒店，而是青春、友情、聚会和太平黄金岁月的一部分。据说是太平的第一家夜总会。

For many Taiping residents, Lake View Hotel was more than just a hotel ， it was a symbol of an era.

During the 1970s and 1980s, it witnessed the town’s vibrant days, when business, tourism and social gatherings brought people together.

Although time has changed the landscape, the memories remain. Every old building carries stories, and every story becomes part of Taiping’s heritage.

Let us preserve the memories of the past while creating new chapters for the future of Taiping. 🌿
