🗻Nobody can prepare for an avalanche..
BIG BREAKING🚨 : According to the latest reports, renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja ("Nimsdai") and nine other international climbers are missing after a powerful avalanche struck Broad Peak during a summit push. The expedition reportedly lost all communication following the avalanche.

Search-and-rescue operations are underway, with Pakistan's military, aviation authorities, and the Alpine Club of Pakistan coordinating helicopter and ground rescue efforts. However, poor weather and the remote terrain of the Karakoram are making rescue operations extremely difficult.

The missing team includes climbers from Nepal, Pakistan, the United States, China, and Oman. Some reports indicate that rescuers have recovered bodies from the avalanche site, but authorities have not yet officially confirmed the identities of all those recovered, and Nirmal Purja has not been confirmed among them. Rescue efforts are continuing.

The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) has confirmed that two of the bodies recovered following the Broad Peak avalanche have been identified as Nepali climber Pur Bahadur Gurung (Yukta) and Omani mountaineer Nadhira Al Harthy.

According to the ACP, the identities of the remaining recovered climbers will be officially confirmed and released as soon as further information becomes available. Rescue and recovery operations for the remaining climbers are still ongoing. More updates will follow as they are confirmed.
