Bridging the gap between crop health diagnostics and environmental conditions at R&D Crop Protection (SD Guthrie Research Sdn Bhd), Banting. We introduced an integrated instrumentation workflow featuring the LI-COR LI-6800 for advanced photosynthesis measurements, the high-throughput LI-600 Porometer/Fluorometer for rapid stomatal conductance screening, SPAD Meters for instant chlorophyll assessment, and HOBO Weather Stations for real-time microclimate tracking. Combining leaf-level physiology with continuous meteorological data gives commercial research teams the exact metrics needed to screen for crop resilience, optimize field inputs, and defend against emerging agricultural pests and diseases.

An exceptional field session on 25th June 2026, working alongside Dave Johnson, conducting final validation checks on Eddy Covariance System and an eight-chamber, automated Soil Flux System, which measured CO2, CH4, and N2O simultaneously. HOBO Data Loggers also were integrated to continuously track water table depth, mapping the direct relationship between subterranean hydrology and surface gas dynamics. Additionally, the new LI-COR LI-710 and LI-720 systems were introduced, marking a significant step forward for precision carbon accounting in Malaysia's agricultural ecosystems.
