Truth be told, we've learned not to celebrate too early when it comes to the Intermediate Championship. ๐
Every year, we keep our eyes on the leading flights... and every year, the Intermediate Championship reminds us that golf has other plans. ๐คฉ
Meet your KGNS Intermediate Champion 2026 - Marshall Soo! ๐
After the opening round, Marshall carded an 88, placing him 18th overall - well outside the group everyone was watching. But that's exactly what makes this championship so exciting. It doesn't matter where you finish on Day 1. What matters is how you finish on Day 2.
Marshall quietly returned with a superb 79 in the final round, leapfrogging the overnight frontrunners to claim the title. No drama, no fanfare - just steady golf when it mattered most.
Congratulations, Marshall! ๐ May this be the first of many memorable victories at KGNS.
A huge thank you as well to every competitor who took part. Year after year, the Intermediate Championship reminds us that it doesn't play favourites. On any given day, anyone can rise to the occasion, and that's what makes it one of the most exciting events on our calendar.
Next up, the KGNS Seniors Championship 2026! We look forward to another exciting weekend on the fairways. โณ

The drives were long, but the day was even longer! โณ๐ฆ๏ธ
The KGNS Intermediate Championship 2026 got off to a promising start this morning under beautiful skies. But as the day wore on, so did the clouds, forcing play to pause to make way for Mother Nature's afternoon shower. ๐ง๏ธ
Abandon game? Not our golfers! ๐ช At 2.15 p.m., play resumed with renewed spirit, and despite the gloomy skies, everyone battled on until 5.00 p.m. The upside? Cooler temperature in the evening. The downside? A very long day on the course! ๐ฅถ๐ซ
After today's opening round, the leaderboard is a little harder to predict! Tomorrow's finale is anyone's game, but we shall give you our top 12 contenders, just in case!

๐๏ธZamri Hasan (87)

With just a few strokes separating the frontrunners, tomorrow promises an exciting finish. We think it's safest to keep an eye on every flight! ๐
Good luck to all competitors, may the best golfer prevail! ๐โณ

Champions have been crowned. ๐
The opening weekend of the KGNS Club Championships 2026 has officially come to a close, with the Super Seniors, Ladies and Juniors Championships delivering two days of exciting competition and memorable performances.
๐ Super Seniors Champion: James Kui Jee Yeng
The biggest surprise came in the Super Seniors Championship. After sitting fifth following an opening-round 91, James returned with a superb final-round 85 to storm back and claim the title. In doing so, he edged out strong contender Dato' Liyackat Ali, whom many had expected to reclaim the championship after narrowly missing out in 2025.
His advice?
"You can't think you're a loser until the last hole. Everybody has a chance. You have to compete until the end."
A champion's mindset if there ever was one.
๐ Ladies Champion: Lim Ai Lynn
Fresh from being crowned Kelana Queen 2026, Lim Ai Lynn proved it was no one-off performance. She followed up an opening-round 80 with an outstanding final-round 76 to capture the Ladies Championship, ending Khairunhanisah's remarkable seven-year reign as champion. Two major titles in the space of a few months. That is no longer good form. That is consistency.
โญ Junior Boys Champion: Chan Jun Han
Lead after Round 1.
Lead after Round 2.
Champion.
The scratch golfer was in control from start to finish, improving from 75 to 73 to complete a commanding wire-to-wire victory. Has KGNS found its next dominant Junior Boys Champion? Only time will tell.
๐ Junior Girls Champion: Dalia Tang
Dalia Tang entered the final round with the overnight lead and never let it slip. Although conditions proved more challenging on the second day, her opening-round 75 provided the platform she needed to secure the Junior Girls Championship.
Congratulations to all champions and participants for two days of excellent golf and sportsmanship.
One championship weekend down. More battles await.
Next stop: the Intermediate Championship.

Not every graduation happens in a classroom. ๐โณ
Some happen on the golf course.
Congratulations to all our juniors who competed in the KGNS Junior Qualifier Series (June 2026) yesterday at the Kelana Course, especially those who successfully advanced to the next level.
A special round of applause to Armin Riyaaz and Mlwin Chandra Segaran, who have officially graduated from the Series. Well done on reaching this milestone! ๐
The report card may be complete, but the homework never really ends. ๐โณ
Keep practising wherever you play, and we'll look forward to seeing your game continue to grow.

From Tokyo to Subang, golf continues to build bridges. ๐ฏ๐ตโ๏ธ๐ฒ๐พ
KGNS was delighted to welcome the delegation from Tokyo Tatemono Resort, led by Mr. Hisatoshi Kato, President of Tokyo Tatemono Resort, together with representatives from Miyako Golf Club, Tojo Golf Club and Kawaguchiko Country Club, for a friendly round of golf at the Putra Course on 22nd June 2026.
Since establishing our affiliation on 7th March 2024, the partnership has created valuable opportunities for members of both clubs to experience different golfing cultures, forge new friendships and strengthen ties beyond the fairways.
Thank you to the Tokyo Tatemono Resort delegation for visiting KGNS. We look forward to many more memorable rounds, club visits and shared experiences in the years ahead. ๐๐๏ธ
Here's to friendship without borders and golf that brings people together. โณ
