ECODAY is a charity event organised by Curtin Environmental Engineering Club and Curtin Dive Club.
It will be held in Curtin University Malaysia on 7th October 2017. As we are in conjuction with the Malaysian Nature Society Miri Branch (MNS MIRI), any access funds that were raised to host this event will be donated to the affiliated organizations as charity in supporting their activities and their mission in providing us a better tomorrow. It will have many exciting activities lined up such as
art contest, upcycling competition and fashion shows with the use of recycled items. Gifts, rewards, medals and trophies for the winners of each competition are prepared. Our event welcomes students’ guardians, family members and teachers. All are most welcomed to join and participate as well as support the students throughout this event. We will also be hosting guest speakers from established environmental advocate organizations such as the MALAYSIAN NATURE SOCIETY FUND RAISING (MNS) to educate us on the rising environmental issues as well as to increase our environmental awareness. Not only that, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (R) (PADI) will give a PADI Marine Awareness Talk. The main objectives of this event is to generate strong environmental awareness to help the community in acquiring deeper knowledge concerning rising environmental issues and degradation through a fun and interactive approach. The Curtin Environmental Engineering Club and Curtin Dive Club has been investing heavily in promoting greater environmental awareness to the community in hopes of building a better world in the future.
