KOTA KINABALU: Seramai 369 peserta dari Sabah, Perak, Selangor dan Sarawak menyertai Kejohanan Jemputan Terbuka Kebangsaan Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sabah (SSTA) 2026, yang berlangsung selama dua hari bermula hari ini hingga 30 Ogos.

Setiausaha Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sabah (SSTA) merangkap wakil penganjur, Mohd Hanif Zakhilan berkata, kejohanan berprestij itu bukan sekadar menjadi medan pertandingan, malah menyediakan platform kepada atlet muda dan berpengalaman untuk menguji keupayaan, meningkatkan kemahiran serta membina disiplin diri.

This time, 9 RHITAC athletes will represent our team at the SSTA National Open Invitational Championship 2026 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, from 28–30 August 2026.

For almost all of our athletes, this will be a new competitive experience beyond Sarawak. New faces, new challenges and a bigger stage — exactly the exposure they need to grow stronger, gain confidence and experience the atmosphere of a national-level championship.

For us, this tournament is not only about winning medals. It is about building experience, developing character and preparing the next generation of RHITAC fighters. Every match is an opportunity to learn. Every challenge is part of their journey. 💪🥋

This will also be our final tournament outside Sarawak before we return home and shift our full focus towards our own national championship — Rising High Open Taekwon-Do Championship 2026 (RHOTAC 2026) this October! ❤️💛🖤

Alhamdulillah, another meaningful milestone has been written in the history of Rising High Taekwondo Club (RHITAC).

The Majlis Penyerahan Bendera Malaysia & Pelepasan Kontinjen Malaysia ke 7th World ONE Taekwon-Do Championships 2026 was successfully held at Miri Indoor Stadium, Miri, and graciously officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Lukanisman bin Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Malaysia.

During the ceremony, our four RHITAC athletes who will represent Malaysia proudly received their official MALAYSIA DOBOK 🇲🇾🥋 — a moment filled with pride, excitement and responsibility as they prepare to carry the Malaysian flag onto the international stage.

For RHITAC, this is more than just another championship.
🌏 This will be our first challenge at an international championship.

From our humble beginnings and training sessions here in Sarawak, we are now taking our first step onto the world stage. It is a journey built through countless hours of training, discipline, sacrifice and determination.

129 Students • One Roof • One RHITAC Family

A total of 129 RHITAC students from training centres across Miri, Bekenu and Sepupok Niah gathered under one roof at Miri Indoor Stadium for our RHITAC Centralized Training 2026.

The training was conducted by Coach Rizqah Humaira Rebecca, 2nd Degree Black Belt, with a strong focus on Pattern (Tul) technical development and proper technique ex*****on.

Throughout the session, students were divided into groups according to their belt level and grade for closer coaching and evaluation. This allowed us to assess their technical ability, accuracy, discipline, confidence and overall progress.

🏆 More than just training — we are looking for our next generation of competitors.

Students who demonstrated outstanding potential during the evaluation will be pre-selected to represent RHITAC in upcoming National and Asian Championships. Every student has the opportunity — what matters is your commitment, discipline and willingness to improve.
