‘I need to get fit first before I go to the gym.’ Sound familiar?
Same for these 3 ladies. They started with the fear of stepping into a gym, not knowing what to do or whether they could keep up.
With Coach Zeehin’s guidance, they slowly built their confidence, strength and consistency.
One lost 12kg
Two lost 6kg each
And more importantly, they started to understand that building muscle and getting stronger matters too.
From being afraid to train → to enjoying workouts together → even trying some HYROX-inspired sessions along the way.
You don't need to be fit to start. You get fit by starting — and have the right coach guiding you along the way. 💪
Proud of these ladies! ❤️

Big shoutout to Coach Michel for making this collaboration happen, and Coach Goh for co-coaching, demonstrating and guiding the group throughout the session.

HYROX Station #8: Wall Ball
This is the final station… And it's where many athletes hit the wall.
The biggest mistakes:
❌ Half squats
❌ Using only the arms
❌ Catching the ball too high
Instead:
✅ Squat below parallel
✅ Drive with your legs/hips
✅ Catch the ball and flow straight into your next squat
✅ Keep your chest as upright as possible
Remember: Receive the ball. Don't fight the ball.
Don't "stop" the ball at chest or eye level; absorb the ball's downward momentum and transition directly into the squat, saving energy on every rep.
Some were first-timers. Some achieved PBs. Some didn't get the result they wanted. But every one of you had the courage to step onto the start line—and that's the real win. Proud of every FitTrek athlete. ❤️
HYROX Station #6: Farmer Carry
Think this station is all about grip?
The strongest athletes in this station don't just have strong hands—they have strong posture.
The biggest mistake?
❌ Shrugging your shoulders and looking down.
Instead:
✅ Stand tall
✅ Core tight
✅ Shoulders relaxed
✅ Walk with control
Remember: Strong posture saves grip strength.
Train smart, carry strong.
HYROX Station #5: Row
The biggest mistake beginners make in rowing station is pulling with the arms too early.
It's actually a leg workout first.
Remember:
✅ Legs → Hips → Arms
✅ Arms → Hips → Legs
✅ Long, efficient strokes
Push the machine away before you pull.
Power starts with your legs.
What's your favourite HYROX station so far?
HYROX Station #4: Burpee Broad Jump
This station looks easy...Until you have to repeat it for 80 metres. 😅
The biggest mistake?
❌ Standing all the way up after every burpee.
Instead:
✅ Stay low
✅ Stay smooth
✅ Jump with both feet
✅ Keep a rhythm you can maintain
Smooth is fast.
The athletes who pace this station well usually finish stronger.
Which HYROX station do you struggle with the most?
HYROX Station #3: Sled Pull
At first glance, it looks like an upper-body exercise.
But the key is:
✅ Lean back and use your body weight to pull
✅ Keep your arms long
✅ Drive with your legs and hips
✅ Stay smooth and controlled
No sled? No problem. A cable machine is a great way to practice the movement pattern and build pulling strength.
Which HYROX station would you like us to break down next?
HYROX Station Series #2: Sled Push
Looks simple. Feels brutal.
A few simple cues:
✅ Lean your whole body forward (don't stay upright)
✅ Push through your legs
✅ Keep moving, even if it slows down
No sled available?
Mountain climbers are a great way to build the core strength and forward body position needed for the sled. They're not a replacement, but they definitely help.
Save this for your first HYROX. More station breakdowns coming next. 🔥
