There is always something deeply touching about hearing Negaraku played on an international stage. ❤️🇲🇾
Congratulations to WFM Mohd Afif Ainul Mardhiah, who emerged Girls U16 Standard Champion at the 10th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championships 2026 in Hainan, China, with an outstanding 8.5/9 points. 🏆♟️
Her achievement is even more remarkable coming shortly after an excellent SUKMA 2026, where she brought home three gold medals for Johor.
From shining at SUKMA to standing on top of the podium internationally, Ainul has shown what dedication, discipline and passion can achieve.
May her journey inspire more young chess players especially in Sarawak to dream big, work hard, and one day bring our own talents onto the international stage. 🌟♟️

A warm thank you to all the players, parents and friends who joined us for the Queen & King Gambit 2026 today.
We are delighted to have welcomed 181 registered players to this tournament, another wonderful milestone for PCBK 🎉
Your participation, sporting spirit and support made the event truly special and memorable for all of us at PCBK.
Our special appreciation goes to YB Wilfred Yap Yau Sin, Assemblyman for Kota Sentosa, for his continuous support towards PCBK and the development of chess in Kuching.
Our sincere thanks also to Madam Jamie and the Kuching Sentral team, as well as Persatuan Catur Negeri Sarawak (PCNS), for their kind support and contribution towards making this event possible🙏🏻❤️
