Kuching Belly dancers made their mark on the international stage at the 7th ING International Dance Festival 2026 Bellydance Competition held in Gangneung, South Korea from April 23rd - 26th 2026🇰🇷.

Sharing the stage with competitors from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Leading the Malaysian delegation under the mentorship of Ms. Lynda, participants Belle Wong Zhi Ling, Fiona Tan Yian Chen, and Laura Chew Mee Zhen put on a fantastic performance, bringing home a total of 7 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Their accomplishment represents a major milestone for Kuching’s dance scene, highlighting their talent and helping to raise Malaysia’s profile in the global performing arts community.

Sarawak shines on the global stage ✨

La Danse Company achieved meaningful results at the Daejeon Ballet Grand Prix 2026 — with Annalisa Lao Lik Xin placing 3rd (Senior Solo) and Chew Jia Yuan placing 2nd (Mini Junior Solo).

La Danse Company has once again elevated Sarawak’s dance scene, earning top honours at the Daejeon Ballet Grand Prix 2026 in South Korea. Young talents from Kuching impressed judges with their skill, artistry, and stage presence, showcasing Sarawak’s growing influence in international performing arts.
