π«οΈ Saturday Afternoon (8 August) Classes CANCELLED
Dear Hornbill Swimmers families,
Due to the current Air Quality Index (AQI) reading in Kuching being above 150, which falls within the unhealthy range and is particularly concerning for children during physical activity, we have decided to cancel all Saturday afternoon classes as a precautionary measure.
As much as we donβt like to interrupt our swimmersβ learning progress, the health and well-being of our swimmers and instructors always come first. β€οΈ
For all swimmers affected by this cancellation, a replacement class will be provided. We will share the replacement arrangements with you accordingly.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We believe it is always better to be safe, especially when our swimmers are exercising and breathing more heavily during practice.
Please take care, stay safe, wear a mask and avoid prolonged outdoor activities while the air quality remains unhealthy.
Stay safe, Hornbill Swimmers! πββοΈβ€οΈ

Today wasn't about finding the fastest swimmer.
It wasn't about who touched the wall first.
It was about seeing our swimmers laugh until they couldn't tahan anymore, cheering on their friends, taking on the Beak Blaster (the inflatable), and simply enjoying a morning together.
One of the favourite moments was watching our swim team swimmers helping our younger swimmers. Guiding them, encouraging them, celebrating every finish, and making sure they felt brave enough to give it a go.
That's the kind of culture we are building at Hornbill Swimmers.
Every swimmer went home with a gold medal and a Happy Meal. π₯π
Not because everyone came first.
But because every child showed courage, gave their best, and became part of something bigger than a race.
To all our swimmers, parents, coaches and volunteers, thank you for spending part of your Sarawak Day with us. We're proud to call Sarawak home, and even prouder to grow this amazing Hornbill Swimmers family together with all of you.
Here's to many more laps, many more laughs, and many more memories together.
Selamat Hari Sarawak! β€οΈππ€

To our 12 Hornbill Swimmers who participated in the MAS/Milo All Stars Swimming Circuit Leg 2,
Big well done to you all! The coaches honestly weren't expecting such improvement and also didn't expect any medals this weekend.
After Milo Splash two weeks ago, we were hoping at least some of you would remember that the race actually starts when the beep goes off... not 0.9 seconds later. π
But somehow... you all decided to prove the Coaches wrong.
The medals were a bonus, but what made us happiest were seeing so many of you actually applying what we've been working on. Better starts, better turns, smarter races, and a lot more confidence.
(Although... some of you still think breathing every stroke and doing one underwater dolphin kick is a fantastic race strategy. We'll continue to work on that.)
To those who hit new PBs and won medals, well done! You earned them.
To those who didn't, don't worry. Every race teaches you something. Sometimes the best lessons come from finishing without a medal.
A huge thank you to ASAS, the officials, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes for organizing another fantastic Milo All Stars meet. We appreciate all the hard work that goes into making these competitions possible.
Now... enough celebrating.
You may have your Monday off. Training starts at the usual time.
The coaches promise we haven't forgotten all the mistakes we saw this weekend. ππ

ππ INCREDIBLE SPLASH FOR A CAUSE! ππ
Our Splash for a Cause fundraising event at Pullman Kuching has officially come to an end, and what an amazing journey it has been!
Over the past few days, the pool was filled with smiling faces, excited children, endless laughter and plenty of splashes as families and friends came together to enjoy our giant inflatable water obstacle course. Seeing the kids having so much fun and creating beautiful memories together truly made this event extra special. πββοΈπ
But beyond the fun and laughter, there was a much greater purpose behind every splash.
Together, we came together to support the Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS) and the children and families bravely fighting cancer.
A special highlight of this campaign was Jessie Wong's Swim to Donate Challenge. Inspired by the generosity of our community, Jessie completed an incredible 10km solo swim, helping to raise more than RM12,000 for SCCS. Her determination, passion and willingness to give back have inspired all of us.
This campaign showed us that when a community comes together, amazing things can happen.
π Children had fun.
π Families created precious memories.
π A swimmer challenged herself for a meaningful cause.
π And together, we raised hope for children and families battling cancer.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who donated, participated, volunteered, shared our posts and supported this meaningful initiative.
A very special thank you to Defy Lab Studio for taking the lead in organising this wonderful fundraising programme and for bringing together so many people to support such a meaningful cause.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our partners, sponsors and the team at Pullman Kuching for their support and for helping make this event possible.
Every laugh mattered.
Every splash counted.
Every stroke made a difference.
Every donation created an impact.
Together, we didn't just organise an eventβwe created memories, spread joy and made a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Thank you for being part of Splash for a Cause. πππββοΈ

πββοΈπ SHE DID IT! ππββοΈ
10 kilometres. Countless laps. One meaningful purpose.
Today, Jessie Wong completed her solo distance swim and, together with the incredible generosity of our community, we raised more than RM12,000 for the Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS)!
This challenge was never about the distance. It was about hope, kindness and coming together to make a difference in the lives of children and families battling cancer.
To Jessie β thank you for giving your time, energy and passion to this cause. Your determination in the pool has inspired many and reminded us that every stroke can make a difference.
To our donors, sponsors, volunteers, partners, families and friends β thank you for your generosity, encouragement and support. This achievement belongs to all of you.
Because of you, we didn't just unlock a swim challenge. Together, we have helped bring hope and support to children who need it most. π
Every stroke made a difference.
Every donation created an impact.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey.
