Kanser te**is bermula pada buah z***r dan biasanya ditemui pada lelaki berumur antara 15 dan 40 tahun. Namun, lelaki mungkin mendapat kanser te**is pada sebarang umur. Kanser te**is biasanya berlaku apabila sel-sel kanser berkembang di dalam tisu te**is. Sel-sel ini tumbuh secara tidak terkawal dan boleh merebak ke seluruh badan.

Menurut Laporan Pendaftaran Kanser Kebangsaan Malaysia (2012 – 2016), kanser te**is menyumbang 1.2% daripada kanser dalam kalangan lelaki Malaysia. Kanser te**is sangat jarang berlaku dan menjejaskan kira-kira 1 dalam 250 lelaki sepanjang hayat mereka.

Oleh itu, Medic Kch Volleyball Club telah menganjurkan satu pertandingan Bola Tampar sempena Bulan Kesedaran Kanser Te**is bagi para lelaki lewat 30-an.
