Ten years ago, the book "Swimming with Autism" was launched as an early introduction to swimming activities for autistic individuals in Malaysia.
Over the years, valuable experiences have been gained through teaching, participation in seminars both locally and internationally, as well as the organisation of various autism related events. These experiences have also created opportunities for autistic swimmers to achieve new milestones and set new records. This journey eventually led to the publication of a second book, "Beyond the Water: Swimming, Autism & Neurodivergent Journeys," produced in collaboration with Coach Ham and Dr. Shuhaili Talib, a senior lecturer at the Department of Information Systems, Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
This book places particular emphasis on autistic adolescents, their journeys in swimming and other aquatic activities, and the important role of support systems in providing the encouragement, opportunities, and confidence they need to grow and achieve success in this field.
This book is exclusive and not sold in bookstores. Limited copies available.

βThe most effective way to teach swimming is in the water itself where skill is built through experience, confidence through practice, and mastery through every stroke.β

MASF LANGKAWI 2026
A total of 31 swimmers took part in the MASF Langkawi event. This event was designed to empower individuals with autism and neurodivergent abilities by challenging them to complete two activities in one course.
Participants pushed their limits as they swam and ran through their respective categories, with the fastest finishers crowned as category champions.
What makes this event truly special is the spirit of togetherness. Parents and family members will join as running buddies, supporting their swimmers all the way to the finish line. It's more than a competition-it's teamwork, encouragement, and a powerful family bonding experience.
βIf you don't make it, there will be no evidence that you tried.β
