What are you ready to release?

The patterns. The habits. The stories that once served us, but may no longer belong in the next chapter.

Join us for a special community gathering under the Sturgeon Full Moon, a space to slow down, reflect and gently create room for what we wish to welcome into the months ahead & to leave with a little more space within.

Through heart-opening yoga, Yoga Nidra, Soul Sync meditation, we’ll move from releasing what feels heavy towards opening ourselves to possibility, abundance and a renewed sense of intention.

You’ve seen this hand gesture a thousand times. Do you actually know what it’s doing? πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

In this one, Shilpa breaks down Chin Mudra, the most powerful mudra in Yoga and it turns out there’s far more to it than touching two fingers together. She walks through the different ways of bringing the fingertips to meet, and what each one shifts in the body and the mind. 🀌🏽

Here’s the short version. This tiny gesture seals your energy inward instead of letting it scatter. It calms the nervous system, sharpens focus, and quietly anchors you to the present the moment a posture gets challenging. Notice the three fingers pointing away too, softening the wrists, dropping the shoulders, opening the chest. A whole cascade of ease from one small shape of the hand. 🌬️

This is exactly the kind of detail we go deep on in the 200-Hour Teacher Training. The stuff most people never learn. Because yoga was never really about the big, dramatic postures. It’s in the small things done with full attention, the breath, the hands, the quiet mechanics underneath it all. πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Most of us use a fraction of our lungs and never notice. Here’s how to change that. 🫁

In this first part, Shilpa introduces the three-part yogic breath, one of the most foundational tools in all of yoga. Belly, ribs, chest. Three chambers, one complete breath. It sounds simple, and it is, but done properly it’s the difference between breathing shallowly through your day and actually filling the body with air the way it was designed to be filled. 🌬️

This is where real practice begins. Not in the complicated postures, but in the breath underneath them. ✨

And it’s exactly the kind of foundation we go deep on in the 200-Hour Teacher Training. Because before you can teach anyone else to move, you have to understand how to breathe, how the breath drives the practice, calms the mind, and carries you through everything else. It’s the ground the whole training is built on.

When an ENT specialist starts sending her patients to a yoga studio, you pay attention. πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Dr Shima, an Ear, Nose and Throat consultant at Prince Court Medical Centre, has spent her career looking at how people breathe. And what she’s found is that a lot of us are doing it wrong. Shallow, into the chest, bypassing the diaphragm entirely, the very muscle designed to do the work. πŸ₯Ό

So she started recommending something unusual: Shilpa’s breath workshops here at Yogshakti. And she’s noticed the difference it makes in her own patients. 🩻

This is the part that matters. Breathwork isn’t a wellness trend or a nice idea. It’s physiology. The way you breathe affects your airways, your nervous system, your sleep, your stress, your recovery. Learning to breathe through the diaphragm properly is one of the most quietly powerful things you can do for your health, and most of us were never taught how.

When medicine and ancient practice point to the same truth, it’s worth listening. 🩺

πŸŽ₯ Watch Dr Shima explain why she sends her patients our way.
