FROM BINTULU TO KUCHING. BACK-TO-BACK FULL MARATHONS. MALAYSIAN TOP 5.

Alhamdulillah. I never thought this would be possible.

Today at the Sarawak Energy Marathon 2026, I completed another sub-3-hour marathon just one week after Bintulu; my 51st full marathon and 45th sub-3-hour performance.

Grateful to finish Top 5 Malaysian Full Marathon, after also finishing Top 5 at Bintulu Marathon last weekend.

I may not be as fast as the younger marathoners, but 15 years of experience, knowledge and continuous education have taught me how to understand my body, manage the race and keep moving forward. Today was one of the most challenging marathon days of my journey, which makes this result even more meaningful.

These 10 days in Sarawak were about much more than racing. In May, we travelled from Bintulu → Miri → Sibu → Kuching, conducting the Smart Run Clinic project with Sarawak Energy Marathon and Revolution Run Borneo end with Smart Run Clinic yesterday.

A huge thank you to the Sarawak Energy Berhad team and staff, especially Tuan Hj Yusri and Mr Jason, for the trust, hospitality and support. Thank you also to the Revolution Run Borneo team; Mr Albert, Mr Jetson, Adek and everyone involved for making this journey possible.

The most meaningful part was meeting runners who came back after the race to share their results and say thank you. That is what coaching means to me: helping people progress smarter through proper running education, structured training and better understanding of their own bodies.

Congratulations also to my SAC Manager, Jolene Hong, for securing Top 15 in the Women Veteran Half Marathon category at age 60. Another result that reflects the consistency behind our Smart Coaching system at SACRun.Coach

I hope my own running journey can inspire others to keep learning, keep showing up and never stop believing in long-term progress.

51 full marathons. 45 sub-3 performances. 15 years of learning, adapting and continuing.

Experience matters. Education matters. Consistency matters. continues…

TOP 5 MEN OPEN | BINTULU MARATHON 2026

Celebrating my 50th full marathon and 44th sub-3-hour marathon at age 39.

The result is only the outcome. The real story is written long before race day; through the early mornings, the missed comforts, the disciplined choices, and the training sessions that nobody sees.

Hard work done in silence always speaks the loudest.

As life gets busier with my responsibilities as a full-time coaching, Co-founder of SACRun.Coach, and a part-time university student; running has become more than chasing faster times. It is my time for reflection, gratitude, and solitude between myself and my Creator.

Almost 15 years, I proved that one lesson has become clearer than ever: longevity in marathon running is not built by training harder alone. It is built by learning to train smarter.

That belief is the foundation of how I coach every runner at .coach . Running is not about proving yourself in one race. It is about building a body and mindset that can continue performing for years.

Talk less. Train more. Learn continuously. Stay disciplined.

If you want to become a smarter and more consistent runner, join us at SACRun.Coach Train Smarter. Finish Stronger. Built on Experience. Backed by Science. Proven by Results.

📸 Thank you

50x FULL MARATHONS. 44x SUB-3 PERFORMANCES. 15 YEARS OF PROGRESS.

Alhamdulillah, completed Bintulu Marathon 2026 today, marked my 50th full marathon since starting this journey at the Singapore Marathon in 2011.

I finished in 2:56 hours, completing my fourth consecutive sub-3 marathon of 2026 and eighth consecutive sub-3 since July 2025.

This was not my fastest race, but the milestone represents something greater: continuing to show up while working full-time, leading SACRun.Coach, coaching other runners and completing my university studies part-time.

Progress is rarely a straight line. There will be breakthroughs, setbacks and periods when improvement feels slow. Long-term success is determined by your discipline, consistent effort and willingness to continue.

From a 3:07 hours full marathon debut to a 2:30 hours personal best, this journey has been built through experience, education and consistent action.

Thank you, SAC Manager; , for standing beside me through the good and difficult times. Your patience, sacrifices and belief have supported every milestone.

Next, we begin Smart Runner Series SRSQ4 and the Smart RunTech Workshops in August and September. For runners who have trained consistently but made little progress this year, stop guessing. Join SACRun.Coach and train with structured, expert coaching guidance.

Built on Experience. Backed by Science. Proven by Results.

TURNED 39 TODAY.

Alhamdulillah. Birthdays always make me pause and reflect.

When I was younger, I thought success was measured by marathon times, medals, and achievements. Today, I see it differently. Success is having the courage to keep learning, the discipline to keep improving, and the privilege of helping others become the best version of themselves.

Four years ago, I walked into Management & Science University (MSU) with a dream. I met Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid and shared my vision of becoming more than just a marathon runner and coach. I wanted to become an educator who could use knowledge to create a greater impact.

Yesterday, I had the honour of presenting my final portfolio to Dato’ Rosli Yusof before graduating at the end of 2026. It reminded me how far this journey has taken me. I kept my promised.

At 39, I’m grateful to still perform at a high level, running 2:35 hours for the marathon, top fastest Malaysian marathoner, to have been part of three Guinness World Records, and, most importantly, to have helped hundreds of runners through SACRun.Coach over the past 15 years together with my manager,

But there is one person I wish could see this journey.

My late mother. If she were still here today, I hope she would be proud of me.

Not because of the marathon times.

Not because of the world records.

But because her son chose to follow the path she believed in so deeply — to become a teacher, an educator, a coach, a mentor and a GURU.

As life begins at 40, I see graduation not as the finish line, but as the beginning of another chapter. I look forward to continuing my lifelong journey of learning, teaching, coaching, and becoming the best version of myself.

To everyone who has prayed for me, supported me, trusted me, and walked beside me throughout this journey — thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

The marathon isn’t just 42.195 km. It’s life itself.

And I’m grateful that the journey continues.
