KOTA KINABALU: Sabah swimmer Emmanuel Loh Yung Ming made waves at Sukma XXII Selangor 2026 when he clinched gold in the men’s 50-metre breaststroke at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre.

His victory carried historic weight for Sabah, ending an almost eight-year drought in Sukma swimming. The last gold came at Sukma Perak 2018, when Hollymax Bell won the men’s 100m butterfly in 56.55 seconds.

Competing against the country’s best young golfers at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club, Jamie delivered an outstanding performance across three rounds, finishing runner-up with a score of 3-over-par 219.

AEC Swim Teaching Certification – Level 1 🏊‍♂️

Interested in becoming a certified swim teacher? We're pleased to share that STA Malaysia will be conducting the AEC Swim Teaching Certification – Level 1 at Sabah Golf & Country Club.

This comprehensive 3-day certification program is designed to equip aspiring swim teachers with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to begin their teaching journey.
