KOTA KINABALU: Authorities remain on high alert as they continue to monitor Tanjung Aru following the shooting of a crocodile by Sabah Wildlife Department personnel at 2pm yesterday.

Sabah Wildlife director Mohd Soffian Abu Bakar said the reptile was sighted in the area earlier in the day, prompting immediate action by wildlife officers to eliminate the potential threat.

However, as of 3pm today, the carcass has yet to be located.
