KLANG – Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (JKDM) berjaya merampas aksesori dan basikal elektrik bernilai lebih RM340,000 di kawasan Zon Bebas, Pelabuhan Klang di sini, baru-baru ini.

Kesemua barangan dirampas hasil pemeriksaan terhadap masing-masing sebuah kontena pada 20 dan 25 Mac lalu.

Pemangku Pengarah Kastam Selangor, Tun Norlela Azumi Ramli berkata, berdasarkan pecahannya sebanyak 147,600 unit aksesori elektrik diimport tanpa permit Suruhanjaya Tenaga (SJT) dan Institut Piawaian Penyelidikan Perindustrian Malaysia (SIRIM).

Katanya, barangan dagangan itu telah diikrarkan sebagai plug dan palam elektrik atau adaptor.

“Selain itu, ia juga menggunakan kod tarif yang salah bertujuan untuk mengelak keperluan mendapatkan Perakuan Kelulusan. Nilai rampasan adalah RM221,390.68,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Jelas beliau, turut dirampas adalah sejumlah 492 unit basikal elektrik bernilai RM123,000 yang juga tiada permit import.

Kata Norlela, pengimportannya adalah tertakluk kepada permit import yang dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Pelaburan, Perdagangan dan Industri (MITI).
