This time we got to hook up our boy El Sureño with something made especially for him.

For this design, we wanted to represent more than just the Sureño we see today. We went back through his career and incorporated some of the most iconic masks he has worn throughout the years, bringing different eras of his journey together into one shirt.

Because around here, you already know how we feel about masks…

And after getting to know Sureño, hearing some of the stories behind those masks, and even adding one of his luchadas to our collection, making this one felt extra special.

🌺 THROWBACK: THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL

Before the Hawaiian shirts became a thing around here… there had to be a FIRST. 🌺🔥

Back in February, we created the very first lucha edition of the Atypical Designs Signature Hawaiian — and honestly, there was never a question who that first one had to go to.

Sayrus GT.

The dude who got Dono hooked. 🤼‍♂️

Everybody has that one luchador who pulls them in and makes them want to keep coming back. For Dono, that was Sayrus. Watching him, following him and becoming a fan was part of what eventually helped turn this whole lucha journey into what it is today.

So when Atypical and Esto es Lucha RGV first brought one of our signature Hawaiians into the lucha world…

The first one HAD to be for our boy Sayrus GT. 🌺😎

Since then, we’ve been able to create special Hawaiians for some of the people who have shown us love along this journey — but we’ll always remember who got #1.

Another Esto es Lucha RGV × Atypical Designs collab found its home!

This time we hooked up Arkangel Jr. — one of Dono’s favorite luchadores and somebody we always enjoy watching. Great performer, great energy, and the dude always brings it when he steps into the ring. 🤼‍♂️🔥

And y’all already know… the Hawaiian is an Atypical Designs signature. 🌺😎 It’s one of those pieces that represents our style, and we don’t just make these special lucha editions for everybody.

Safe to say… he loved it. 😂🔥

He even had Alex & Dono sign the piece as its creators — and apparently this Hawaiian might not just be for outside the ring…

👀 We hear it may be seeing some RING ACTION at Mania.

Watching Laredo Kid and Penta on RAW tonight hits a little different when we’ve got both of their Joker editions sitting in the collection. 🃏🔥

And not just replicas… both luchadas. Both with their own history before making their way to us.

Now seeing both of these guys representing on the WWE stage? That’s pretty damn cool. 😤🔥
