TESTED DEEP 👌🏻
My friends from .official who sponsored my World Record in 2023, keep giving me their to try… Which means I’ll do my best to destroy it and see if it still works!
Right now, I am trying the second stage Bonassi !
So far, I’ve been using them during very long cave dives and in tech dives.
Soon, I will try to disassemble them underwater and put them back .
They have some nice features that I will show in one of my … I just have to come up with the right idea!
KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT INSIDE AND OUT!

HERE EVERYTHING STARTED 🚧
Kaan Luum in is where I taught my first tech course.
A shallow, lagoon with a massive sinkhole in the middle.
My student was Luca — a great and colleague…
who also showed me how to lick the underwater. Thank you, Luca!
And now, many years later — and with a few hairs less — here we are again with Aurelien.
Another great instructor and good friend, taking his first step into tech diving with me.
And yes… he already knew the mask trick.
A great place, full of with great people.

CHRIS IS BACK WITH THE TEAM👌🏻
This week was all about sidemount refresh training and guided cenote dives in .
Chris is back for the third time, and as always, we spent the week refining his sidemount configuration and improving his diving skills.
Over several days, he dived with Mauro, Alonso, and Davide, exploring new while continuing to work on propulsion techniques and emergency drills.
Progress in diving doesn’t come from doing things once.
It comes from revisiting, adjusting, practicing, and staying open to improvement.
Chris brought the same positive attitude and commitment that made working together enjoyable from the beginning. Thank you for another great week of diving, and thanks to the team for the solid work throughout the refresh sessions and dives.
A positive attitude improves not only your own , but also the experience of everyone around you. 🤿

FROM ITALY WITH 🇮🇹
Some dive trips are just dives.
Others remind you how long a journey can really be.
I’ve known Alessandro for more than 30 years. We started swimming and freediving together as kids, long before cave diving, sidemount, or Mexico was even part of the picture.
Fourteen years ago, he came to visit me and took his first scuba breaths here in Mexico, at the dive shop where I was working at the time.
Now, after all these years, he came back to experience the cenotes with Margherita.
What impressed me was not just their diving skills, but the way they functioned as a team. Communication, awareness, mutual support — everything felt natural, intentional, and consistent.
Good divers think about themselves.
Great divers think about the team.
Margherita showed exactly that mindset: always present, always attentive, always trying to become a better and more reliable buddy.
That kind of attitude changes the entire dive.
Thank you both for the trust, the conversations, and the time underwater together. Divers like you make guiding feel easy.
Be an asset for your team, not a liability! 🤿

A TECH DIVER IS ❗
Technical diving is not just about equipment, gases, or procedures. It’s about mindset.
Aurelien joined us at Yaakun for his Advanced Nitrox Diver course, and from the beginning it was clear that he possessed the most important thing: the right attitude.
He arrived as an experienced scuba instructor with strong diving skills, but what made this course special was the way he processed information and executed every task with precision and intention.
Good students don’t just repeat exercises.
They observe, understand, adapt, and ask themselves why.
That mindset allowed us to work deeply on techniques, awareness, and decision-making throughout the .
, congratulations! Your commitment and ability to learn made this rewarding not only for you as a student, but also for me as an instructor.
Teaching and learning are two sides of the same coin. 💀👌🏻
