It was just Donna and Pauline in the saddle today! We spent a little over an hour putting in solid work on our walk, trot, and canter transitions—focusing on staying calm, cool, and collected while keeping up a great pace.

We had another wonderful ride out today! Donna rode Vicente, Pauline was on Chapi, and Antonio rode Popi while ponying Bronco.

It was a great schooling ride—exercising both brains and bodies while scoping out new trails amidst the development happening in our area. These reliable horses are good with whatever we give them!

We had the absolute pleasure of riding with Tonya early this morning—exploring the beautiful trails around the local farming community right against the base of the mountain. She looked fantastic riding Chapi!

Brainwork & Teamwork at Baja Horse Experiences! 🐴🧠

Today was all about fine-tuning our foundation with a solid schooling day.

We don’t just saddle up when guests arrive—our horses are worked every single day!

Continuous training and dedicated schooling days are what keep the BHE herd tuned up, responsive, and ready to give our guest riders the best possible experience.

For our ridden horses, today meant listening closely to cues, tuning into their riders, and practicing what it means to be a true partner. Meanwhile, our ponied horses got a great refresher course on staying in their zone and paying close attention to the rider holding their lead line.

Today, we had the pleasure of taking Donna J. Quinton and her grandson, Bradley, out for an incredible trail ride! Guided by Antonio on Duke, Donna rode Trino and Bradley ride Chapi.

One of the things that makes BHE horses so special is their training—our horses are desensitized to road traffic, trucks, and farm machinery, making highway crossings smooth and worry-free. 🚙💨

After crossing over, the group enjoyed a serene ride along the edge of the estuary with stunning, wide-open views of the bay and a peaceful, quiet road.
