Alessandro Amore will officiate today’s first test match between Italy and Malta in Rome, marking his first appointment to umpire at international test match level.

Amore has had a busy year on the international umpiring circuit, with this being his third official appointment since Easter.

His previous appointments this year include the 𝟔 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐔-𝟏𝟖 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and the 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐇𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈 𝐌𝐞𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 in Helsinki, Finland.

🐺 COACH SPOTLIGHT | SILVIO PERALTA 🧡

Today, the spotlight turns to the man guiding the Wolves from the sidelines Coach Silvio Peralta.🏑🐺

🇦🇷 Nationality: Argentinian
🏑 Hockey Journey Began: 1993
🧡 Role: Head Coach

Silvio’s hockey journey began in 1993, while studying Physical Education in the city of Junín, Argentina. It was there that he was introduced to the sport and began playing with a group of friends at the Santa Paula Club.

His passion for hockey quickly grew. Silvio took the game back to his hometown of Los Toldos, where he helped establish the LT Hockey School. What began as an idea grew to more than 90 students, marking the beginning of his journey not only as a player, but also as a hockey coach and teacher.

At the time, men’s hockey was not common in his area, but Silvio helped establish the sport and form a men’s team a legacy that continues today with players still active in the game. 🏑

Before hockey, football had been a major part of Silvio’s life, even helping him financially while completing his studies. For a time, he continued with both sports, but eventually one passion won his heart:

HOCKEY. ❤️🏑

Today, that passion and experience continue with Zurrieq Wolves HS, where Silvio shares his knowledge, guides our players and plays an important role in the journey of our team.

We’re proud to have Coach Silvio leading the Wolves and bringing with him a lifelong passion for the sport that started more than three decades ago. 🐺🧡

Since beginning his hockey journey in 2011, Thomas has continued to develop his skills as a goalkeeper, bringing focus, determination and commitment every time he is called into action.

In 2026, Thomas reached an important milestone in his hockey journey when he represented Zurrieq Wolves HS at EuroHockey in Toruń, Poland, making his first appearances on the European stage. 🌍🏑

As a goalkeeper, every save, every decision and every moment of concentration can make a difference. Thomas continues to work on his game and adds valuable strength to the Wolves’ goalkeeping team.

Aaron’s hockey journey began in 2002, and over the years he has gained plenty of experience protecting the goal. Focus, quick reactions and determination are all part of his game, making him a valuable member of the Wolves squad.

On the European stage, Aaron has made 10 EuroHockey appearances, representing Zurrieq Wolves HS across several competitions and building valuable experience along the way. 🌍🏑

His journey has also taken him into Malta colours, with 8 appearances for the Malta National Team, including his most recent international experience in Helsinki, Finland in 2026. 🇲🇹

We’re proud to have Aaron within the Zurrieq Wolves HS family, bringing his experience and passion to the team whenever he wears the Wolves colours. 🐺🧡

2026 has been an important year in Kieran’s hockey journey. He represented Zurrieq Wolves HS at EuroHockey in Toruń, Poland, making 4 appearances, before going on to proudly represent Malta in Helsinki, Finland, making 3 international appearances. 🌍🇲🇹

We’re proud to have Kieran as part of the Zurrieq Wolves HS family and to see him representing both the Wolves and Malta on the international stage. We look forward to seeing him continue to develop, gain experience and achieve many more milestones in Wolves colours. 🐺🧡
